Not to draw attention away from you balancing personal/work time but your statements around how you manage work seems reflected in how Daniel works. Maybe we could see more of the concequences of that work ethic through what your experiencing? Maybe working it out through Daniel might help you work through it yourself. Just throwing out ideas. Don't want to give unwanted advice

Shannon Smith

Anyone else surprised that Torix doesn't have a few summons specifically for recon? With all the planets he's visited, there has to have been a fast flying creature with incredible vision.

Thank you Grevis. It's lot easier to just be open and honest for me than to try to wear a mask. After all, if you wear a mask long enough, it becomes your new skin. Once its grown onto you, it's hard to take off. In my opinion at least.

Thanks a lot for your effort in creating this story for us, even when you don't feel particularly motivated. Like Grevis165 said, and I agree, getting to know you a bit more personally and how open you are about your life behind the story turns you, in my eyes, into a person and not just some name on a book cover. Thank you.

Grevis165

Well awesome, man. I hope it works out for you! I appreciate your honesty and transparency. It shows a lot about your character as a writer and a person. In a good way :)

Monsoon117

It definitely does, but I have no overarching structure to help enforce that kind of stability. I can wake up and work whenever. I also don't have a designated commute. Recently I dedicated a portion of my apartment to work again, and that's helped. I need to rebuild my work tolerance over January before trying to work on long term consistency. So far, the plan involves meditating after work to get my mind out of work mode. Otherwise I will keep thinking about writing, comments, etc. till I go back to sleep. After a few weeks, I burn out. I think meditating after work will shut the work mode off, letting my mind rest and letting me enjoy myself. Just trying it out to see how it works, but preliminary trails seem promising.

Yoy put your all into whatever you're doing, and you can focus on just one thing at a time. Switching gears is difficult, and even the act of it takes energy out. Do you have a dedicated space where you write and a dedicated time-slot for it? Maybe your body just needs a consistent schedule where x to x is writing time and x to x is family/play-time?

Jess Koch

I was driving when I saw that up posted

Monsoon117

You and Normack are pretty much the frontrunners in that regard, with a hefty lead in your favor. Can't slack up though or else Normack will take you out.

Monsoon117

It's odd. I have this lingering sense of guilt if I don't write during a day. If I do write, I feel good and accomplished. I snowball into periods of intense productivity, but my family and personal life spirals because of it. I ignore everything except work, so I take a step back from it. All of the sudden, my drive to keep going falls apart, and I have to start all over again. I know there's something I can do to fix the cycle, and I'm trying something new again. We'll just have to see how it works out. Either way, I'll never give up trying to figure myself out. Once I get a grip, I'll probably be pretty productive. You know, realizing my potential and all that.

Hey Monsoon, no worries. It is hard to stick to things, especially if your personality (like mine) is to rebel at what everyone says, including yourself. It makes getting anything done quite tough. But I digress. I love Torix! xD. Nice touch about the cackling bit at the end of the chapter :)

Monsoon117

I'll go back and double check, but I believe the difference between fights was two weeks. Including the full week here, it should be about 9-10ish days since the last fight.

so did Daniel miss his tournament match?

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

Leonard Marchant

"No differently then you would have I'd imagine. Come, we've much ground to cover." Than*

Gardor

So his wifey didn't send him a message for a week while he was off on the mission?

Monsoon117

Thanks Corwin. I fixed the other mistake too.

Corwin Amber

thanks for the chapter

Corwin Amber

"As struggled on" i believe it should be 'as i struggled on'

Corwin Amber

"foundation for the spell just like " feels like the sentence is missing the ending

Jess Koch

Not first

So I ended up getting sick over the holidays with a very mild case of broncitis. Combine that with many meetings with relatives, and you have a delayed chapter. After this long, I started doubting myself too. I call it post-anxiety, and I've heard other content creaters get it. Anyways, I finished and just put it out there, so let me know if anything is off. Just as well, I hope you guys have a Happy New Year, and I'll see if I can't get an update video out to you guys before long. I'm trying to come up with and stick to a plan this next year. We'll see how it goes.
