tossed the limb up towards leviathan-7 -> capitalize Leviathan

Blake Richardson

Thanks for the chapter

My problem isn't the action, I tried making it clear that my problem is that everything clearly happens around Daniel. None of these universe changing events have been 'off screen' or used as world building. Sure, it's the standard hero template that everything revolves around them, but it isn't realistic, and it definitely stretches the reader if they are constant. Schema's section of the universe has been mostly calm for eons, and everything decided to kick off right after our guy got some power... Yahm was believable because he was tracking a successful experiment that a rogue ally wasted on a mission to a backwards rock. Elysium is less believable, Schema's enemies just happened to have been planning to overthrow him on the planet our MC ended up going to AND he happened to end up in the thick of it for quite some time until he managed to punch his way out, almost literally. And now Schema's decided to go full hunger games on the upper crust of his citizen guilds/empires. Losing all these people with connections or slight personal power over a short term gain, and now even this event is twisting into some bigger conspiracy with two different old ones having stuck their hands into the pot... It's just exhausting reading about a guy always getting shoved into being the hero, the lack of agency on Daniel's part in all of these events is just dragging him down from an awesome hero into a reluctant janitor hired just after the most messy of parties was thrown.

That’s what I thought too. If you just took off all his limbs it would be child’s play to just throw the rest of him bit by bit into the black hole. Now that, that is the finality that baldawah wants lol

Thanks for the chapter.

Honestly I’m not sure what you’d like him to do then, in this universe the conflict is CONSTANT and obviously beings on Daniels power level and above can demolish his cities. Look how long the Empire has been around and Daniel could take it apart in a few months, does that mean what Obolis has built isn’t lasting either? It really seems you just have a problem with Daniel not having time to completely build up Earth because something always comes up but it is an action novel and keep in mind Daniel JUST started getting powerful in this universe. Regardless of all that tho I don’t think you’re gonna enjoy the novel because this isn’t something that’s gonna change, conflict will always arise and he’ll always have to leave Earth to protect it.

Alex I

If his entire guild relies on him to not be demolished like a kid kicking over a sandcastle then it isn't lasting at all. Those are his accomplishments, not his guild's, without him it wouldn't have happened and without him around his guild is even weaker than the empire and they got multiple worlds attacked by Elysium all at the same time despite being one of the best. Those accomplishments aren't saving his home planet or building new cities. We've also seen these current cities, powered by multiple blue cores, that are stronger than Schema's versions, get obliterated in seconds by an army he tore apart rather easily. How do you think his single core cities that are protected by the older weaker golem versions on earth would fair against the enemies he's being thrown at now the next time Schema decides to teleport him across the galaxy in a one sided match of hunger games?

Sani H

He’s built an entire guild that’s done business with the Empire and went toe to toe with Elysium after only being built recently 😂 that’s pretty damn lasting

So Baldowah is very “RED” and rather calm sounding for something that’s very presence is wrath incarnate.

Alex I

He built up a few cities over a distance of one maybe two states in the US, that isn't even 5% of the total landmass of the earth and covers likely even less than that percentage in the remaining population after the apocalypse, and every day he's here getting jerked around like a puppet on strings is another round of dead humans and a weakened earth overall. Don't know about you, but I personally don't enjoy reading about MC's that are always dancing to another person's tune. If they have no agency why are they the hero of the story? Everything other than the minimal time he spent building on earth has been him being yanked away by some higher power to do some stupid side mission that ALWAYS turns into some bigger conspiracy, just because the MC was nearby, must be a law of this universe or a recycling plot event used by an old one only known as The Author.

K

I mean he already made Earth a bastion and built it up from dirt since he first left bloodhollow. It seems like a lot of time has passed since he cored up earth, but remember this lottery will have passed in no time outside of Leviathan-7. I'm sure there's plenty more world building, economics, social interactions and whatever ahead. Enjoy this lottery while it's here!

You have a bit of a point. Its like, Daniel is super tough, but the Old Ones are MMORPG Admins stopping in to say sorry, though your game mechanics are effective, our plot armor is thicker. Its like Daniel isn't the MC, the Old Ones are. XD

Alex I

You know, for everyone saying it is difficult/impossible for the old ones to interfere with our universe they do it an awful lot. It's cool and all, the first couple times, but the MC constantly being jerked to a stop by one of them is getting pretty old because almost every time it slams the interesting part of the story to a halt while we have another month or two of sudden battles, of the mental or physical variety. Can we please get at least a few chapters where we can see our MC actually build something on earth that helps before we get tossed into months of chapters where he is doing everything but that? We've seen him punch stuff really hard or have mind boggling mental introspections, at this point he's either overpowered or hopelessly outclassed in the action department and it is getting a bit on the drawn out side. If practically every enemy is equal to or stronger then these bases on this planet might as well be sitting ducks when he is busy so it starts to feel like there is no point and that we'll never get to actually see him build something lasting because you refuse to let him.

Psyren1596

Thanks for the chapter. Why didn’t Daniel just somehow trap Valgus (or significant parts of Valgus) in his dimensional space and be done with the whole battle

Sebas Tian

No seriously, when is Daniel going to finally eat an old one xD.
