Thanks for the chapter.

Conor McGroarty

To me it seems the best way to beat the Old Ones is for Daniel to consume and take the place of his resident dimension. Daniel is a dimension and the current dimension is dying from the words of the Old Ones (of course it isn’t fast as things in a cosmic scale take place over a stupidly long time) so no issues with consuming and replacing it with himself. By becoming such a large dimension, it should be possible to reach the same field as the Old Ones. Only issue is if he has enough time to reach that point.

Kinda late on this but I have read your web novel since it was 15 chapters on royalroad. I've complained on here before about the upload and lack of communication which seem to be somthing your struggling with and working on. However you should remember one thing. This is one of best webtoons I've ever read and why I've still been subscribed all this time. I've probably read 300+ other web novels over the past 8 years your consistency with characters, your writing quality on not just personal aspects and interactions with characters but the world around them is top notch. Not to mention your entertaining and creative fights/enemies/skills/environments/races. People will eat an entire pizza but notice one undercooked pepperoni. Don't let it shake the fact you have made tons of other great pizzas before hand. Take pride in your work it has gotten you this far. rough chapters are definitely a way to get constructive feedback, if you feel comfortable enough to deal with a couple of idiots maybe making stupid complaints. Regardless of what you choose to do I wish you the best. Art isn't something you can just turn out of a factory.

Blake Richardson

Thank you for the chapter!

I think I’m going to quote you on this. You’re more articulate with your thoughts in a single comment then I’ve been in my entire life.

Monsoon117

Mistake. Thanks for pointing it out and fixed.

Jayden Kirkham

I literally never comment here and just happily read each chapter you post but i just wanted to say this book youve written is one of if not the best webnovel ive ever read, so no matter what you may think of the quality of your writing know at least that i am refreshing this page regularly waiting for my next session of badassery to read. Keep up the good work and take it all at your own pace, lifes a never ending uphill battle and just being willing to continue at all is like 90% of the hard work needed to make it. I believe in you. <3 much love.

Gardor

He only gravity squishes five spies, but there were apparently six. Mind fuckery or mistake?

Calleman20

While you might not post as often you do post enormous chapters so i think it kind of balances itself out kinda. Either way your mental health is much more important then you posting a set amount of chapters a month to this story. Take it in your own pace and if possible just keep us updated once in a while even if you don't post a chapter, letting us know how you are doing. We just want you to be ok, and are obviously worried when you just go awol. But do things in your way and we will be here to support you as much as we can.

Whids

This chapter was really good. Dont let negative people affect you if possible I know its hard. This story is very good and I look forward to every chapter. Keep up the good work,

Green Steve

Glad you're back Monsoon! This book is one of the first ones I got interested in when I first got into webnovels and to this day it is in my top 3. So enjoy life, rest and come back to us better than ever :D

Slim Dakhch

Fair enough. Do what works for u man. Im still here for the overpowered godslaying daniel. If u give him the spirit bomb ability like goku. Best believe my hands gonna be up in support.

Monsoon117

Kavi, it's good to see you again.

Monsoon117

I haven't read a RRL comment in a long time, so it's good to hear they're not laying into me too hard. Thanks for returning to the story Connor. You've made a lot of good comments and improvements to the story over its lifetime, all constructively of course.

Monsoon117

I had this one guy who was a hater in disguise. That kind of thing really tears me up, so that methodology, while pragmatic for someone with thick skin, won't work for me. I'm sensitive to feedback to my chagrin. I definitely like reading through constructive feedback though.

Monsoon117

I've never experienced writer's block but post-anxiety is something I genuinely struggle with. I've had this chapter ready for weeks, but I've edited it at least a dozen times. It was supposed to be about 2,300 words, but it evolved into an absolute behemoth lol.

Monsoon117

I'll try to treat you all more kindly moving forward while doing the same to myself.

Monsoon117

It's a heartening wall of text to read, like treading over a bastion made of marshmallows and pillows, so no need to apologize for it. Thank you.

Monsoon117

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind while trying to do well. These kinds of comments make it easier to return. That's for sure.

Monsoon117

This comment treads the line between harsh reality and soothing softness very well, and that's a difficult thing to do. Thank you for the kind words and advice. I'll try to take it to heart.

Man I don’t think you should be so hard on yourself. I loved this book since I stumbled upon the first 13 chapters. This series has been awesome and you taking time to sort yourself and your life is well within expectation. We want to hear from you, and we want to see your book, and we will criticise it. But it’s your book, and our judgements don’t mean it’s bad and don’t mean you’re bad. It’s just our view. I will continue to enjoy what you post, and if you need time, you need time. Keep doing what you will, I still enjoy it. Also a poster on RR made a good point of watching out for imagination burnout. Keep your mental health in check! Don’t hurt yourself over your creation. Thanks for the Chapter, awesome as always!

the void

God I fucking love this book! Keep up the amazing work as always and please don’t abandon us. Thank you for the chapter!

K

Glad you're back again, Monsoon! Great chapter as always.

Slim Dakhch

idk if you've read savage divinity, but he used to post unedited chapters and just rework them or modify them after a couple days, and repost by the time the next tier of patreon gets to the chapter, if your quality is what worries you, just post the draft and let the readers help you better yourself, most haters dont pay to read stories they dont like, so they stick to hatin on free chapters.

Robothaus

Plenty of writers go on hiatus, some don't start back up. What's important is that you don't give up. Perfection is not a destination that we can get to it's a direction that we move towards, progress isn't measured in how far we are from an end but how far we have travelled from our start. Don't worry about pace just do what you need to keep moving forward.

igor potocnik

Monsoon, this may be my first comment here, but I have followed this story for a few years now and I will follow it for as many more as needed. Take all the time that you need, we will be here.

Kevin Roberts

Monsoon, there is only one thing you need to know: We are here and we care about you. Also, this chapter is a 10/10 in my eyes. Thanks for the Chapter!

Hayden Pech

Thanks for the chapter!

Aji Monzal Piper

I joined as a patreon supporter to support an author who was writing an awesome story. The extra chapters are just a bonus.

Jacob Carver

Thanks for the chapter! I’ll just say one thing: you know what people do when they can’t wake up to an alarm in the morning? Do they set more alarms? Nope, that doesn’t work and makes you feel worse. Instead, they turn off the alarm. After all, what’s the point if it doesn’t wake you up in the first place? I know this sounds weird, but consider turning off the “alarm” when it comes to this story. Sleep in and enjoy life while you can. As long as you don’t quit (even if you do quit for a while but come back) then you’ll still have people waiting for your awesome story.

*insert return of the king meme here*

There's no need to feel too bothered as far as I'm concerned. I like the story, and if it comes slow, it comes slow. At times I may cancel my membership, but when the posts come back, so will I. My support is not meant to put you down, but to encourage. I understand that the creative process of writing can be hard at times, and it can't really be forced. Just do your thing when you're up for it, and I'll try to be there to enjoy it at that time :-)

Tomislav Fistrić

Hey man. Listen, I was with you here for god knows how long, from RRL to Patreon and your video interiviews (why'd you stop those btw?) and I can tell you this - while yes, you are kinda prick for not posting anything in regards your status, I do think that you are writing too harsh on yourself, I read thousands of books (literally have over 2000+ books in kindle), chapters online, from work books to high fantasy novels, fandom to hugo award winners and I always wanted to try writing but, guess what, i never did. So you even starting writing is a huge step forward and then you made a "book" over 2000+ pages long. Even if you stopped here (please don't :D ) i would think you did a big work of art that I would gladly read :) (but please finish it :D) . So yeah, you are kinda a prick but you are also a great writer so don't belittle yourself, just think of Daniel and what he would do hahaha :)

Hello, I have been reading for a long time. Started on royalroad probably in the early teens of chapters and been a patron on and off as income allowed. While I agree with some of the self criticism that you have leveled at yourself, namely communicating with us, I want to say I understand. Anxiety affects us all is some very harsh ways and I hope your struggle with it continues to get better. It is our choice to pay and follow you even when you don't post anything for a long time. At the end of the day your artistic vision and storytelling has a few of us passionate enough to continue following your writing still. Sorry for the wall of text I am feeling sentimental and your post really resonated with me. All the support from me, cheers to a chapter :)

kippy chalkdingle

I have been supporting you for a long while now, and I can confidently say that in terms of combat and general story direction, your story is my absolute favorite. I understand the difficulties about writing, and using it as an escape or distraction from something larger. All I can say is thank you for coming back for us. Your story has meant alot to me for what feels like some odd years now, and it's always nice to see your updates pop up in my notifications. Enough typing sappy stuff, thank you for the chapter and for updating us on the situation.

It's hard to jump into the work proper without first addressing your statements about it holistically and about yourself. Self-talk is important, and if your starting point is in the "I suck at this, this is scary, I am not able to keep up" side of the spectrum then it's going to forever remain hard to motivate yourself intrinsically. Yes, it's hard. Yes, it's very personal to just go to a page and bleed on it. Yes, it is self-evident if you're "not keeping up". But consistency being key doesn't mean that "I suck because I'm inconsistent," it means your methodology for retaining consistency sucks. Anxiety is one thing, but it comes from making little steps into big leaps. You have a lot of little things you can do and a lot of little steps you can take at any given time to move towards the completed product. But you need patience. And you need to take the time. I get it, I really do.
