I'm Returning to Writing
🕑 Added 2025-02-26 01:04:41 +0000 UTCHey everybody. I know that most of you have likely moved on after waiting for literal years between my posts. I can't blame any of you for having resentment or for despising how I've handled the story in general. I want you all to know I'm sorry for how I lacked the will, determination, or general emotional stability to manage my writing.
It's been an up and down journey for me over the years. I've always wanted to just grind, grind, and grind, yet I always end up burning out. Usually that isn't form the writing but is from engaging with the audience. It's a particularly soft point of mine.
However, there is good news among the bad. Despite that burnout, the allure of writing never left me, and to my surprise, I still enjoy it to this day. Other, perhaps even better news: I have many chapters piled up. I've continued writing this entire time, and I never stopped honing the craft. I love writing. Managing social media? Eh, not so much.
Moving forward, I'll participate less in the comments than I have in the past. I still love you guys, and you're the best fans anyone could ask for. However, the negative comments have an outsized effect on my mentality. At this point it's either isolate myself from them or quit writing.
I hope you all understand, and even more importantly, I hope I don't include to many glaring plotholes. Send me a personal message if there's a big issue and I'll adress it. Otherwise, c'est la vie. Regardless of my media management, I've got enough material amassed for months and months of consistent posts.
So at the very least, I have something to offer during my return. Speaking along more specific lines, I'll be posting every day for the next 21 days. After that, I'll post three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. It's not the same volume as I've pumped out before, but it's a hell of a lot more manageable than what I've been able to maintain.
I'll also be aiming to edit and publish my books overtime. I'll probably have the next one ready for publishing in the next three months. I aim to improve my work as much as the last full edit did, so wish me luck in that. I will need it, and I'll let you guys know if I can't write and edit the book at the same time.
Finally, thank you all for everything you've all done. The positive comments, messages, and general desire to continue reading my work, it's amazing. Everytime I see it, it's like a gazing at a dark sky and seeing a full moon. To that end, I wish I was programmed to parse through the negativity so that I could stay connected to you all.
I really can't. I've tried, but the human mind isn't built to retain negativity from dozens of people every day. It remembers the harsh, grating perspectives far more than the lenient and kind ones. Eventually, that negativity piles up and weighs me down.

Bless you Monsoon, I can't say I know how hard it must've been for you these last 2 years, but I never gave up hope, I've been here on patreon since 2021, and reading on royal road since 2019. I always held out hope that you were still as invested in this story as I was, and this just proves my faith was not unfounded, I knew you would eventually come back, and the fact that you kept on writing through these years is just extra blessings on top of your return. Your story was literally a cornerstone of my developmental years, and me and all the others truly believed in your skill, or we wouldn't still be here, waiting for your return, I know it's hard and you probably won't see this, but so long as you still believe in this story and continue to write, then no matter how long it takes we will all wait for you❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

A surprise for sure but a welcome one. I honestly feared you got cancelled by some illness or got hurt or had a freak accident involving a grey squirrel, a flaming chainsaw, a bull, 5 liters of cold hotdog pudding and a chinese tea set. You always hear about them on the news, terrible when it happens. Good to have you back, you went MIA just when i started to make money to comfortably sub a good dozen patreon writers so i never subbed to you which i now rectified. And for the negativity, that is always part of a job that interacts directly with customers and patrons. You could get yourself somebody you trust, that knows your story well enough, and has the needed mental fortitude to proof read comments and just listen to them/let them filter the hate comments from the actual critics for you. Or view the negativ comments as if they were said by 12 year olds, can't take them shitheads serious at that age. Anyway good luck from now on and good to have you back.

Woooooooo, this is incredible, just this month I subscribed to read the last few chapters available for this series and you make a comeback!!! I’m so happy you’ve returned. This is my favorite LitRPG series of all time. Keep going man! You have created an incredible story and I hope you’ll get better!

Happy to see you back! Can't fault the hiatus, life happens. Been around since chapter 20 or so. If you stop writing for a while I'll simply put my support on pause and look forward to your return. No resentment or anger over it. Everyone walks their own walk. If you come back to writing I'll be here to read, enjoy, and support for as long as you do.
