What is if daniel builds a machine that siphons the mana from rifts and and used it build the golems? That way he can stop the spawning from elderich in rifts and has an unlimited supplai of golems for other purposes?

Stepan Kadlec

Maybe it is just my impression, but the passage where Daniel starts thinking about Alpha dying and the armour for Amara feels like a repeat from last chapter. Not like - Daniel remembering again, but a true repetition.

Monsoon117

Between gut wrenching action, horror, and tense dialogue, I've found crafting to be a nice break from the norm, a way to sort of relax a bit. It's like having a few lo-fi tracks to break up a heavy music mix. The ebs and flows help make the rest of it feel even better.

Monsoon117

This turned a good idea to a better one. Torix can help with this.

Turora

I love the therapeutic of just using powers to build stuff. I loved the golem lab, and I love Amara’s suit. It’s fun.

Corwin Amber

'much so a thought' -> 'much a thought' 'a pair of armor' pair -> set 'Mcsmitty' wouldn't this be 'McSmitty'? 'intent stares' intent -> intense 'make back up their capital' -> 'build their capital back up'

Monsoon117

Huh, interesting visual. I intended on it being a dual sided, thick book. On side, it's normal, cream colored paper with flexible, metal pages for the other side. Those metal pages are coated in a dark, scorched ash that's easy to etch off but tough enough that it doesn't bleed onto pages as the book is opened. Along the front, a dark blue leather compliments onyxes. The onyx's sheen follows your movements like little white eyes. Over the back cover, a series of wooden compartments can be opened via latches. Is this an easier description to follow?

EvilGodAsura

Just wanna give honest feedback where I can 😉. Full faith in you still as my favorite author currently.

Monsoon117

I did. Patreon's comment system is simplistic to put it kindly.

There's a ridiculously high number of planets, dungeons, and eldritch out there. Trillions to septillions and more, so Daniel simply can't make that many golems. It would take a long time just to populate Earth for example, let alone anything more. He'd need some serious improvements and amped crafting abilities for that to be possible. It is something to consider in the future when Daniel's abilities have been increased. For Althea, if Daniel and her did ever fight, I'll just say that would be a bad idea for Althea. I'll take note on dampening power up moments, though. That's a good suggestion.

Honestly kinda hard to picture the new Grimoire, in my head it's a black-leather bound, World Atlas sized, sketchbook with chains hanging off the spine

Thanks for the chapter

As long as its recognized that Daniel is annoyingly humble im fine with it. I just felt that those around him should have mentioned it more. As for the golems. Daniel is a machine at this point and as he improves mass production of golems just gets easier than it already is. He loses nothing other than time making them. Now I know he is pressed for time right now but think of this. Once he is able to match schema in power as a living multiverse should be able to in time. He could make changes like he said he would by producing his golems instead of the hybrids. That could be a massive improvement he could make on schemas system that he supplies golems to new worlds in order to prevent the culling and allow a safe growth phase. Hell he could even make golems that make golems i imagine at some point as long as he prepares the materials. As for althea. I know you've mentioned her struggles before but its so hard to explain the dislike for her. It just feels as though she takes away part of what makes Daniel special when she just abuses true damage to get easy levels and can pose a genuine threat to him even after all his upgrades. I mean you make these crazy amazing powerups and then you get details like her antimatter giving him shivers still. It just takes away from what should be a badass moment for everyone.

Shin

Or you could rework the whole idea with the cameras and turn it into a scrying formation like those He build into the gialgathen armors in the past Would allow him to reach a similar result and He could apply an almost forgotten skill He obtained in the past

David

It would be interesting if Daniel could figure out how to make his armor transparent. Then he could make indestructible windows.

Monsoon117

It could be altered into a runic variant if Daniel gains the technical knowledge on how to make cameras.

Shin

Glad you like it ^^ Just keep in mind for future crafting with additional technology like this armor that said technology is (usualy) far less durable than the base material which makes it more of a weakness than a boon (though that could be an interesting plotpoint and learning experience for our MC) so you should think of failsafes like the gauntlet idea Just my 2 cents hope it helps and keep on going i love the Story

There's a lot to bite into with this comment, so I'll be offering an extended reply. The annoyingly humble trait is for sure one of the cruxes of Daniel's character. The guy comes from humble origins, one where he wasn't offered much protection or shelter during the early stages of his life. There's still lingering trauma from that abuse, like a lower than normal self esteem in spite of extreme achievement. This leads to Daniel's continual growth as he is never satisfied, but it also leaves him underestimating himself often. Overcoming that is supposed to be one of the main arks now that Daniel is 'OP.' For your second point, there are a few ways the golems are worse than Hybrids. First, they are infinitely harder to produce on a mass scale. Hybrids can be chunked out no problem once the process has been ironed out. Golems take time from Daniel, and other people can't learn how to make them. Another issue is the golems are made for Daniel and his team's purposes. They can't be controlled fluidly by a normal person. People just have to trust that these godlike golems will do what's right for them. That can be quite off putting. There's other issues, but from an ethical standpoint, you're right. The golems are outright superior. You're third point is absolutely correct; I should've done a better job showing Althea's struggles throughout the novel. EG, she had to put an enormous amount of effort and sacrifice early on in life to control her transformations. When she first met Daniel, she needed a conduit to siphon excess energy to the guy, otherwise she'd melt into a horror. That took it's tole on her. Her fighting style also requires lots of pain resistance and fatigue management as she detatches pieces of her body in order to kill. That's how her spears operate. She's also extremely frail when compared to Daniel. I could try to fix those issues going forward, but I think it's something that will need to be fixed in edits to the New World when I go to publish. Interesting thoughts as always EvilGodAsura. They're always welcome.

Monsoon117

Good idea. It could be a folding series of plates that operate from a mana switch within the gauntlet. I'll add a section for that along with the thought process you mentioned.

Shin

Just a little idea on amaras armor: If either the cameras get destroyed or the cables fried (they are not made out of Daniel after all) she would be blind inside her own armor why not make it possible to slide open the plates on her palms so she can see without taking the gauntlets off

TjStorm

Well done mate. Good job. Find a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life.

pukeofhurl

Alex R lets say it cant evolve anymore... but all that mana... siphoned directly to his own stats... DANIEL CAN EVOLVE!!!!!!!!! The grey giant with the mass of planets able to play soccer with moons!!!!!!!

EvilGodAsura

Daniel is still annoyingly humble. They need a figurehead. Something to inspire and give them peace of mind. Yet he ruins that image everytime he diminishes his worth. Secondly it seems like his golems are just straight up better in every way than hybrids. That feels notable. He can create them for essentially just time and seems to have no limit on how many he can make. Litterally replace the hybrid plan with his golems and you have a way better system not involving horrific torture and death. Lastly the going theme seems to be those that want power to decide their fate need to work for it so I really hope Daniel grows a spine and stops being afraid of growing powerful. He lacks ambition and those without ambition don't deserve to be powerful. That's the main gripe with althea as she gains most of her power without struggle unlike Daniel who struggled for every scrap. She seems undeserving of the power she has.

Code Reed

He probably cheats. That sky high intelligence score and manifold mind probably make it super easy to come up with good lines.

Code Reed

Aw! Yeah! The rematch we've all been waiting for. Nice touch poking at his fear of being eaten alive for all eternity.

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

Demonuss

Daniel has such amazing one liners, so many badass quotes from the guy.

Connor Alexander

Oh holy shit this is an epic chapter! Can't wait to see where this leads! Thanks for the chapter, and yet again, the story!

kyle

Need moooor! Loved it thanks!

Memoulisous 23

Epic chapter can’t wait for the big fight!

Lockwood

God damn that ending. Can't wait for more!

Titaniumtac

Super exciting

Dominic French

Hopefully eating Lehesion pushes him over

Dominic French

I'm hoping thats just what the system thinks

Alex R

His armor is done with the evolutions.

Dominic French

Hell yeah, Lehesion might be exactly what daniel needs for his next armor breakthrough. A being with nigh unlimited Mana. I hope Daniel eats him from the inside out.

Ian McCarty

Amazing chapter. I am looking forward to the confrontation.

Lockwood

Hell yeah! Real happy for ya man. Keep doing what you love and we'll keep comin back for more. Cheers to this chapter and many more to come!

So, things are gooing well for me at the moment. I'm getting into the swing of writing again. It's something I've learned about myself - I just enjoy it. Even if it's not the best that day or there's struggles, it's just fun to do. I'm lucky in that regard, and it's why I started writing in the first place. If I reduce the amount of pressure on myself, then it's like releasing a valve, one full of cool ideas and effortless workdays. In fact, the workdays dissappear altogether, and I'm back to enjoying myself again. It's kind of amazing how humans can put themselves in these mental cages. We can bar ourselves into pits and traps that mimic the impact of real terror. The therapy has been helping with that. Rants aside, I enjoyed writing this chapter a lot. Let me know about errors, as I'm well equipped to fix them.
