It's time for another update.
This update is story focused and serves as the climax for the first arc of the story. It will also setup the next arc and what to expect from it.
As arc 2 is the middle of the overall story, it will be an escalation of everything that was built up in the first arc. I hope you can feel that in this update.
The idea of Arc 2 is that Mars' time will be limited. He can't spend it on all the girls at once. The events the player selects, will determine the ending. If they focus on events for one heroine, then they'll get her solo ending. If the points are scattered across all of them (Essentially Mars is undecided) then the story will continue a bit longer into the harem route.
When it comes to Cecille's corruption, we're in the second third of it. There will be some small milestones on the way before we get yet another climax for it.
And the last third of her corruption will only be available in the harem route.
At least, that's the plan anyways.
Don't forget to play with sound on! I picked some good tracks for the update!
Music improves the scenes twice fold!
Also there are some SFX during Cecille's H scene. Let me know if they're any good.
Standing images
I've retouched Cecille and Erin's standing images. But I still have to tweak the other characters. Because of the nature of pixel art, changing the position of one pixel, alters the whole expression quite drastically.
Also I might give Cecille a casual outfit, something that gives off a "gf" vibe. I'm listening if you've got any ideas.
I've also changed the color of Sera's default outfit. But I might revert to the original later depending on feedback.
New Content
To access the new content there are two ways. Either load a save of the last Elena scene, or use the 'Paths' option on the main menu and choose "v0.4".
NPCs and Console
The console menu should be available now by default. To open press "Shift+O".
With this menu you can change the value of any variable in the game.
When it comes to NPCs, the way to progress their content is to ask them questions.
The "Talk" command does nothing bro. It's just flavor text. It's the same as with the main characters.
The maid "Iris" for example, she gets new questions added as you progress the main game. But since it's a hassle replaying the entire game. You can use this console command to open up all questions without redoing the game:
maid_phase = 4
Why 4? because it's the maximum stage of her content.
For the other NPCs, this is not necessary as their content can be read without moving the main story. Just keep asking them questions bro.
Next update
Next update is going to be Sera focused. After that I might do a poll to see which heroine goes next.

Vile Lasagna
Echoing the general sentiment here, this was a fantastic update (as usual). The way the story and characters keep twisting and folding in themselves keeps me in awe. To me I guess the highlight was actually the moment with Vi. I feel this was long overdue. While both Vi and Mars talk a lot about how important they are to each other, throughout the game they end up maintaining a more casual veneer. Having sharing his moment of vulnerability was a great touch. Also keen on seeing how Cecille will digest this in upcoming updates. Also shoutout for Lavinia not being content with having already become the best character in the game and still stepping it up in every way. She gives Helelle a run for her money when it comes to escalating madness, it's glorious. I think I'm a bit against the grain on the soundtrack though. While I still think the new tracks are great and I believe I get where you're going with the new tunes being an escalation, I think I like the older more muted, sort of more quiet creeping horror vibe that many of the older tracks have. Again though, I do understand how with the story shifting gears it IS fitting that the soundtrack does as well. I've been waiting on more Sera for a bit so happy to hear she'll finally get a bit of a spotlight. The idea of her curse awakening is particularly scary considering how it's become so I do think everyone's in for a real rough ride as that happens. Don't know how to feel about the new outfit. I feel like the yellow one stands out more and is more notable. But she does look great in the blue.

Thank you, I'm very happy you're enjoying the game! Honestly, if I hired people to help me with the time consuming tasks(Art and writing) the game would basically lose its identity. Besides, I'll be robbing myself of the opportunity to get better at those skills. The game is ambitious for a solodev for sure, I'll just have to chip at it until it's done. Hopefully by the end, I would be more skilled and can create better projects. Thanks again,

This game continuously proves itself to surpass my expectations. I admire your dedication to improve all aspects of the game as well as ability to deliver a sophisticated storyline, complex characters, intriguing lore, and immersive world all while incorporating a satisfying progression of corruption, moral degeneration, erotic scenarios, and mix of various kinks. It is honestly criminal in my opinion that the game has not received more attention. If the game were to gain a massive audience do you ever see yourself working full time and maybe hiring others to help with game production or are you set on this being a solo project all the way? Either way I look forward to future updates and wish you the best of luck in making HPMF.
