Once he’d allowed the system to drone on about the integration, the first thing Ronan did was read through his status—the detailed version. After that brief bout of duplicate skills, he’d started to earn unique ones again. Although four of the tomes were more duplicates.
That alone made him ponder how skills were distributed. It couldn’t be entirely random. Perhaps there are limits depending on how far into the integration a challenger is? Ronan guessed.
There were quite a few new additions to his status, most of which weren’t immediately useful but would slowly grow in value over time. Especially once he had more freedom to experiment with new classes.

From what it had been when the system first descended upon his world and granted its gift—or curse, depending on one’s perspective—Ronan’s status had ballooned in size and complexity. It was practically an essay now, but that was a reflection of his effort.
He was sure his heritage was working to make it even smoother to understand at a glance, too. For example, the real percentage buffs of cultivation after deep cultivation was factored in were displayed alongside the base percentages.
Speaking of his deep cultivation, he pulled it up for good measure. He wondered what the real increase had been from purchasing tier III. The diminishing stacking effects were annoying.

The maths lined up, but that didn’t make him less frustrated. Still, all improvements were worth acquiring. Even the skills that barely helped him in his current situation. He was sure to find a use for them eventually.
First, he needed to beat the tutorial once more. It was barely a challenge now, making Ronan actually excited to see what the next step up in difficulty would hold. Not long now, he reminded himself before he made a rash decision.
Ronan found himself cultivating under the stars once again. He noticed that the shards which went on sale in the marketplace were almost identical each iteration.
That wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. It meant he could continue to push his cultivation forwards, even without obtaining higher leveled shards. However, it did mean that he was yet to obtain even a single soul aspected shard.
His soul cultivation was the only one of the four paths which hadn’t reached the first stage. No use worrying about what I can’t control. I’m sure I’ll find a source of them as I keep pushing onwards.
What he was attempting right now was painful, but rewarding. Before his final battle against Lord Rockmore and his first against Vulparis the Trickster—which he hoped would also end in his victory—Ronan wanted to push for the second stage of tempered body cultivation.
His body currently felt as though it was submerged in a vat of molten metal while being pounded by a hydraulic press. However, a pained glance at his status told him he was nearing his goal.
Half an hour later, the pain subsided and Ronan collapsed in a sweaty, aching puddle on the roof. A satisfied grin was plastered on his face as he stared at the notification that had appeared when he collapsed.

He pulled out a bottle of water and downed the entire thing in a few gulps. Then he unwrapped a stale protein bar and finished that in two bites. It wasn’t real sustenance, but it did the job well enough.
He checked his status and saw the slight increase to his health points. A few light jabs and some brief stretches helped him get used to the increase in agility and strength. Perfect, he thought to himself.
With a final look at the beautiful starry sky that watched over the broken city, Ronan clenched his fists and headed towards the stairs. It was time to kill Lord Rockmore.

I think you need to work out a better method to the deep cultivation skill because it doesn’t add up. Off hand the description is that it SHOULD stack 10% per tier (so 10%+10%+10%=30%) But the MC stating it diminishes is not part of the skill description and if you are trying to say each tier adds 10% (or 25%) of the original tier to the total, then tier 3 would be 12.1% and 39% respectively. So 23% and 42% doesn’t even make sense from the “stat boost compounding” sort of position. It’s just “here’s the skill description but we’re gonna do whatever we want anyways”. I guess if you’re going off the DCC series “rogue AI just changing rules as it sees fit” then I guess it works but the fact that most skills give an “infinitesimally small” boost which is essentially means less then 1 and as close to zero as possible” just makes it seem like none of the skills or this chrono abilities are worth it

Maybe focus on perception, anti-magic, or magic for the fox? Could perception be raised by fighting with his eyes closed, or to start out, with only one eye closed? Basically become a blind monk. I’m sure that’s another class.
