It hadn't occurred to me when I left my original comment, but consider this: Nobody knows Lockhart is a fake aside from the teachers, and even then they consider him a fuck-up more than a fake. Kuzuki is a muggle. Smart, professional and "athletic" ("Are you Spiderman?" - Colin(?) Creevey), but still just a muggle. The whole school just watched a muggle beat the wheels off a wizard. This side-story just keeps getting better and better!

Everyone thinks thier king of the hill until you punch them in the throat. You donβt throw down with someone who can potentially dodge bullets. In my mind I see Kuzuki and Snape sitting next to each other silently sipping coffee or tea. A sort of silent professional friendship.
