I’m still with Buzz on this one, they went to the moon many times. My father was a Naval Aviator, if he could not tell the truth he did not talk about it. Those astronauts who went and go into space are doing a very dangerous job. If a solar flare had come at them during the moon missions they would have fried. They knew this and still went.

Interesting and very well produced AJ. Wish my father were still alive today to have watched this. He got tired of debunking the doubters and could have just referred people to this episode. His career started as one of the scientists at JPL in 1951 and he then spent the next 40 years working in aerospace including Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs. Difficult programs absolutely, but not impossible. As to passing through the Van Allen belts, the shielding required to protect occupants as well as extremely sensitive equipment has been around a long time. One of Dad’s projects was the voyager probe and that has been traveling since the 70’s and sending back data. I think these days it’s out past Neptune by now. Still functioning though not sure if still broadcasting. That probe has been surviving extreme radiation for 45 years, including passing through the belts.

wow! first of all, watch all the apollo lunar mods when they launch and none show the flames shooting out the bottom and lots of smoke because 1. there is no atmosphere and 2. gravity is 1/6th of earth, how much of a push does it need. No instructions were destroyed. The Saturn V blueprints exist on microfilm at the Marshall Space Flight Center. Regardless, even with those blue prints, we couldn't recreate the Saturn V rocket today because it was a product of a 1960s ecosystem that doesn't exist anymore. Many of the internal workings were created specifically for the Saturn V, but the molds and specialized equipment to create them are gone. The housing facilities where the rockets were built and assembled are also gone, repurposed for the Space Shuttle, and who knows what now. Even some of the off-the-shelf parts from NASA vendors don't exist. Many of the vendors don't exist! An engineer could look at the Saturn V blueprints and he might read (completely made-up language here) insert widget 1455 into assembly housing XYZ. Ok, now what? Where would he get 1960s widget #1455 and assembly housing XYZ in 2023? The answer: He can't. They don't exist. They'd have to be recreated again, but no one would want to recreate 1960s rocket technology in the 21st Century. An engineer couldn't simply swap out a 1960s part with a 2020s part because that would change everything from the weighting of the rocket, but all the interconnections and other contingencies. That's why new moon rockets are being built today with a 2020's ecosystem. So there can be two truths here--Truth 1: The blueprints weren't lost or destroyed; Truth 2: we also can't replicate the Saturn V in the 2020s without recreating the 1960s ecosystem that built the Saturn V.

Then there's the pic where the astronaut was edited in without a shadow, and you explain that by lines converging in the distance. Not. Then you show how something was edited in over the cross marks on the film. Your explanation of that? Crickets. Then you show the Lander lifting off the Moon without any rocket thrusters. Your explanation of that? Crickets. Then, after extensive proof that they couldn't have gone through the Van Allen Belt, including multiple on-camera admissions by NASA, you just brush it off with no explanation at all. Why are you doing this? Who is paying you to keep the cover-up going? I guess you already let us know on that episode where you admitted you could be a CIA plant yourself. Too bad. That needs to be addressed in order to truly debunk the myth, because that is where science explains the true possibility or lack thereof. Art Bell had a show about this years ago. One thing that struck me is that NASA said the film was specifically designed to withstand radiation. Art had the owner of the company on who said they did nothing other than produce normal film and supply it. He always assumed that NASA had did something to protect the film.

I am wondering that too... a part of me wants to know and thinks we fundamentally deserve to know the truth... another part of me fears that the aftermath of the truth (even partial) about what's happening there might open a door to new existential and ontological concerns, which might be very hard to live with. It's like asking your unfaithful girl(boy)friend how (s)he cheated on you, but raised at a cosmological level. :) So many people were killed to prevent this "knowledge" from being disclosed. That must be huge. I always think that at this point any possible scenarios including the ones that defy comprehension have to be considered, like for example non-disclosure agreements with this involved species to protect the survival of humans on Earth... that's at least what Lu Elizondo seems to half-say somehow in his recent interviews. Is he right? is it a psy op? (as AJ suspects btw) I personally can't say... but that must be huge.

That is a No way OJ, there. The radiation is just as bad or worse then what Chernobyl incident caused. The men who went lived a long, happy and healthy life. The stuff on the moon we supposedly put there could have been added much later by robots. There's so many ways to fake it, Kubrick didn't need to help.

This is one of many great arguments of our time. But we did not go to the moon because we still can't figure out how to get living matter to the other side of the Van Allen Belts. What convinces me most about it, is the men that went lived long happy healthy lives after returning, not like anyone who was exposed to The Russian Nuclear event, Chernobyl, where everyone exposed lived a much shorter and very ill life prior dying. When I say everyone exposed to the Chernobyl indecent died a horrible death. Even the people who lived and worked there and was home when it happened died a miserable death. My dad got us a brand new color TV, in 1969, he said he got for my 4th birthday in late June, at least it was the excuse he used because my mother wouldn't stop screaming for spending money we didn't have. I was a 4 year old astronaut enthusiast, I made my helmet and used my moms white dress gloves, and my friends and their parent came over to watch the Apollo 11 launch. My dad who was a major in the Army Corp of Engineers, mentioned that the Van Allen Belt, not sure what he was speaking of, but in years to come and many more Apollo launches, I learned how to read and I went to the city library with my dad a lot to fix the heating and cooling system during closed hours, and I read books, nothing else to do there. There wasn't a lot of VAB science studies because NASA refused to release the study to the public. NASA stands for "Never A Strait Answer", and they prove it all the time, everything coming from NASA is censored, just like most government news today, and nothing has changed. Serious minded only answer please: I am going to ask you, now knowing about the danger of the Van Allen Belts, if you got the chance to go to the moon would you go? Knowing even if you do make it you will suffer similar effects of the Chernobyl victims, and die a horrible tragic death, and treated like hazardous waste material where you can't even be in a grave yard, and ashes have to be sealed in a lead urn???

This stirs up a lot of memories for me, such as actually being able to see Sputnik in the sky on one occasion when I was a kid. They went via a path where it wasn’t as strong and during a time with less solar radiation. To this day, there are many factors which determine when we launch spacecraft outside our orbit, radiation being one. I don’t buy that we lost technology, but we can clearly see with the cost of the Orion rocket how expensive it is to make a similar craft today.

The cover-up by NASA of infrastructures on the moon must be a part of the upcoming disclosure act. Please please make this episode, and possibly investigate the reason why they do this. AJ, you never got into the Van Allen belt when you were doing the debunking portion of the episode. Can people actually make it through the belt with 1969 and current technology? And YES. Do an episode on possible objects/structures on the moon.

I didn't notice (or I missed) if he addressed that in the video. Working my own memory from decades back. They plotted a course around the deepest portions the Van Allen Belt, greatly limiting exposure, plus all forms of radiation are not equal. The command module also had insulation specifically designed for the type of radiation they encountered. Overall, the astronauts were exposed to a lower dose of radiation than we'd get during the course of a normal year with dental x-rays.

Great presentation, but the Van Allen belt was and is a serious issue. Did one of the Russians get fried by it? Thought I heard something about it but a long time ago. Never the less “we don’t know how to duplicate what we did” was strange at best. And there was more to the Buzz interview with the child that was even stranger. But enjoyed your spin on it and debunking the other points.

really, he debunks the entire thing, except left out that little pesky impossibility that prevents it from happening? That was a big question about apollo 13 and them being in the lunar mod on the return trip and went thru the radiation belt in the mod and how did they not get fried

Great episode again AJ, but unless I missed something, I notice you didn't explain how they got through the Van Allen belt unscathed. That part makes no sense. How could we have done it then, but not now. And mind you, I'm not a fake moon landing conspiracy person, at all. I had never looked into it, so all the stuff in your video was new to me. You did a good job of debunking 95% of the conspiracy, but that last 5% is still getting my gears spinning.

It's just one man's opinion, but this particular episode was a disappointment. Can't wait for the episode on 5G causing cancer, or vaccines causing autism, or Democrats in US drinking children's blood. /s While I understand your format, and seeing how the debunking at the end may be useful for some, I feel your talent is best used in researching topics not this thoroughly debunked already. To be clear, every other episode so far has been A+. Please do keep up the great work.

I would think that would be an easy study to conduct. It wouldn't shock me though if there was some increased health risks. That said, Buzz is 93, Michael Collins just passed a couple years back at 90. That's well past normal life expectancy. Unfortunately, we'll all be exposed to increasing cancer rates if we're fortunate enough to live longer.

Some conspiracies do need a good debunking. Also, Buzz Aldrin: Hero for walking on the moon; hero for a right cross to a d-bag's face. Don't be surprised if Sibrel tries to get you to remove the snippet of him being punched, claiming it's his video. It gets pulled down for copyright issues regularly, but it was also a news story, so hopefully not an issue post production.
