The Montauk Project: The Truth is Darker Than You Think
🕑 Added 2022-09-08 03:55:24 +0000 UTCIn 1943, the USS Eldridge was made invisible and teleported from Philadelphia to Virginia. This event was known as the Philadelphia Experiment.
When the Eldridge reappeared, some crew materialized in walls and bulkheads. They died in agony.
But two sailors didn't reappear at all. The two men, who happened to be brothers, were presumed dead or lost.
They weren't dead.
They traveled 40 years into the future; in a secret military base on the East end of Long Island.
They became unwitting participants of The Montauk Project.

Get well, Crazy Dave. I caught the BA5 variant in July when I ventured across the bridge to visit some friends on Long Island. I hadn't seen them since pre-Covid and I jokingly said I'm sure I'll leave here with Covid after avoiding it for 2 1/2 years. I wasn't serious, but the virus was! It lasted a little over a week, with days 3-6 being the worst. It served up new symptoms daily, as one would recede, a new one would arrive, including the worst sore throat of my life. Welcome to the natural immunity club; it's all our fate eventually. (I had also been vaccinated.) Best in your road to recovery.

Wow AJ, this one was an emotional ride, wasn't it? I started with the high of time travel, teleportation and a solution to world hunger and descended into the physical, mental and sexual abuse of children. At first I really wanted it to be true, but the more I heard the more I just want it to be nothing more than urban legend. Those poor kids. Heartbreaking.

Still love the place, great fishing, restaurants,bars and old Montauk Highway is still fun to drive. Plus you can see another place I love from the shore, Block Island!
