I was hoping for an ending where it all comes to a head- in where AJ opens the box slowly to find a pair of shoes with the feet still attached. As hecklefish laughs menacingly until AJ pulls the trigger on the box of shoes. Firing wildly until the barrel clicks several time. Only to realize, those weren't feet, but fins in the shoes...
