I live in the UK, I don't do discord(to much hassle). I would love it if yous did the AJ figurine that's above and put it in the store to buy. Always love the content you put out AJ and Team, keep up the awesome work.

I just assumed you could record them and then edit them out after the event if permission was not forthcoming. I don't know what the laws are in your State but where I live, they just come round and ask individual employers if they're OK with being recorded.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Well,.maybe I could, but with about 10x the words. I took am disillusioned as to what amounts to discrimination against outsiders and the dependency on discord..I got discord /solely/ for TWF and I just can't get alonh with it.

Agree. There never has been any assumption on my part that anything TWF has to be live. To suddenly go from that to 'live and not recorded' was a huge shift for me

Agree. The lack of recording was a severe podio dental incursion for me. When I first saw that 'not recorded' I couldn't believe what I was reading, like the old days of DVDs only being available in certain regions.

There's no need for advance notice. Do it only if you want to and when you want to. I realise now that it was a spontaneous thing. I am severely concerned now about all this drive for advance notice. I've just seen the YT comments section and they are all saying the same thing; there is no real reason for a predictable schedule. I honestly don't understand where this requirement for a fixed schedule comes from. I certainly have no right to expect /anything/ from you, ever. With other YT channels, I am still watching :new: stuff that is several years old. I do the same with TWF; I often don't know how old am episode is, and I don't care. It's there; it's great; I watch it. Then there's all these release announcements which keep getting put back. There is no compulsion on you to provide any content, let alone at a specific schedule. These constant announcements and re-announcements are going over my head but normally it doesn't matter.: just release stuff when it's ready.

It was the way you just said 'this will not be recorded'. I would have loved a studio tour but I couldn't commit to staying up for it. It seems a bit odd for a phone these days not to be able to record. It sounded for all the world that you were touting it as a limited edition and that even paying Patreon members could either stay up or shut up. That's how it sounded to me. Now, I didn't become a Patreon just because I wanted more/longer/earlier content. I did it to support the channel. AJ had suggested 'behind the scenes' before and I just assumed this was one of them. To receive a Patreon announcement of it and be told it was live only caused me a sever e double take moment.

Patreon is a good enough platform as it is. As far as I can see, there's no point in adding discord into the mix; it's ridiculously complex and looks like a 12yo who has just sprayed glitter and random nonsense imagery all over their bedroom. I really don't want to have to navigate through all that and can't see why you don't just keep things simple and put the videos on Patreon. The whole live discussion thing on discord is lost on me due to time zone differences.

I am very disappointed. There are many members outside of the U.S. With no recording available, we would have to stay up until 2 a.m. to watch. I am not that young anymore.

All I know and I'm not alone, Patreon members are now missing out on a lot and a lot of times the announcement/notification of an upcoming event is sometimes 30 min notice. I work 6 days a week and 12-14 hrs each of those 6 days and can't get on discord at all these random times. Thursdays around 7 or 8 was doable. Now I miss most of these things.

I believe Victoria responded to my similar post stating it’s due to too many releases needed for being on camera & the level of intimacy. Unfortunately, this is not adequate for paying members who have life, health, and other commitments. There needs to be a compromise otherwise more will downgrade / discontinue their membership.

Why can’t you put up a tour video? AJ was just saying he wanted to do more for Patreon members. I think this video would classify as that. A lot of us don’t like Discord or have too many problems with it. Also we are not always available at short notice. It feels like if we don’t use Discord we’re left off the guest list. Please consider a tour video.

Love you guys and all. But like others, have a lot going on. Been a trying two months so miss a lot of these live streams. Considering we are paying members, is it a huge lift to record these sessions? I would watch them all, just life gets in the way. Hate missing all these, especially since the AfterFiles has been few & far between. Thanks for the help & understanding, and keep up the great work!

@TRA It would appear so. I only joined it for TWF but can't get.even that to work. What's the reasoning behind TWF using it, rather than just using Patreon and/or YT ? D just looks like someone's had an acid trip in a glittery star factory. No substance to it, just fluff.

Someone tell me how to use discord. This is getting absurd. I browsed to the link given and clicked 'accept invite'. It then forced me to download the discord app. I do this. It says 'welcome back'. Then I can't login. I know I have to use the same email (but same as what ?) Same as patreon ? I don't remember ever giving an email address to Patreon but it seems to have a Gmail address that I never use. I try to do the forgotten password thing for a password that I don't remember setting up. Then it says my email address doesn't exist. I'm told I can get.help on discord in 5s but that's no good if one can't get onto discord on the first place.

Same. Discord is a nightmare if one just wants to watch something. Partaking in a live discussion is not my thing. I really just want to watch stuff and maybe comment on it after the event, particularly as I'm around 9 hours E of you. It's 00:41 on Friday 2024-08-02 as I type this.

Any chance.of actually giving the DATE or at least the DAY. Just saying 3pm Pacific Time is unhelpful. I don't expect you to render it in all possible time zones, but at least let us in distant time zones know whether it's 'tomorrow' or 'happened whilst we were sleep'
