Great episode and lots of food for thought. A character in one of my stories is of a race that lives for thousands of years (or longer, possible immortality), so I delved into the implications quite a bit. Depending on the individual of course, life boils down to three essential experiences: survival, enjoyment, and contemplation. There are countless variations of the three, but that's it in a nutshell. In the character's words 'quasi-immortality can become quite dull.'
