Dead on Accurate. I would note that the water (electrolisys) engines and the guy with the "dock of cards" box have been proven that they don't work. I believe the anti-gravity guy you showed repeatedly was shown to be using magnetism. Everyone else in the video was shut down by the MiB's, and their tech was never refuted.

My father was assigned to work in Germany within a decade after WWII. While there, he met a German engineer that spoke about a battery he’d invented that did not lose power as rapidly as current battery power did. A very drastic difference in the operating efficiency of current batteries and his battery. He took the money offered by the ‘MIB,’ and that was that. His battery innovation tech was suppressed. As for the ease of accessing these ‘suppressed’ and ‘classified’ patents, it has been over 20 years since the patents were granted and over 50 years-ish on the classified materials, so there’s that. As to ‘why’ suppress the innovation, well it’s money and power, of course. It's true that Dyatlov Pass, like many mysteries, has its fair share of conspiracy theories, and AJ does a great job of weaving facts into engaging narratives. However, I believe there’s a fundamental misunderstanding here about the nature of science and its role in these discussions. First, it’s important to distinguish between the presence of conspiracy theories and the application of scientific inquiry. While it's true that a conspiracy theory can be filled with scientific-sounding information, that doesn't inherently make it scientifically valid. Science relies on evidence, peer review, and reproducibility to form conclusions, not just theories that fit a narrative. You mentioned that science is nothing but theory, which is partially correct but misses a crucial point. Scientific theories are not mere guesses; they are well-substantiated explanations based on a body of evidence. They are continually tested, challenged, and refined as new information becomes available. For example, the discovery of a new property of neutrinos wouldn’t "turn science upside down;" rather, it would refine our existing theories and expand our understanding. It’s also important to clarify that while dark matter is a theory, it's one that is supported by a significant amount of indirect evidence. The scientific community does not rely on it because it’s the only way gravity works, but because it helps explain observations that cannot be accounted for by visible matter alone. If a better explanation comes along, science will adapt to incorporate new evidence, as it always has. The beauty of science lies in its openness to change and self-correction. While AJ's stories are indeed entertaining and thought-provoking, it’s essential to differentiate between storytelling and scientific discourse. When discussing topics that blend both, it’s crucial to maintain a critical perspective and understand the difference between speculative theories and evidence-based science. Enjoying AJ’s storytelling doesn’t mean we have to accept all presented theories at face value. You have to be critical of everything you see and hear, like when AJ says stuff like the FDA shut down the Dotto Ring or that Pogue's patents were suppressed when it took me 2 minutes of searching to find all of them- that's pure bullshit at face value, and you owe it to yourself and to the show to call that out. AJ can and should do better. So while I appreciate your input, and don't want to offend you, I feel it's entirely possible to be a fan of the show while still advocating for a clear distinction between entertaining speculation and rigorous scientific inquiry.

Dyatlov Pass is fueled with conspiracy theories too, which AJ address, and just like here he brings all the facts following the storytelling aspect. He’s a story teller, restricting which type of stories he tells because you don’t agree with it sounds more like a personal problem. This episode is also chucked full of science? Believe it or not…the presence of a conspiracy theory does not correlate to a lack of science. It’s flabbergasting you’re a fan of the show while demonstrating the exact opposite apathetic approach that is requested from AJ and his team. Plus, science is nothing but theory, one new property of a neutrino is discovered and our science is turned upside down, shit man our science barley works outside of our own system as long as we assume dark matter is there because that’s the only way gravity works. It’s all theories. All the way down.

Man, I really loved this channel before it became so conspiracy-theory minded. So much of what is discussed here is patently (pun intended) false. Desire for a thing to be true transforms rumors into certainty that the thing does exist, it's just being suppressed by shadowy organizations. The need to believe in these wondrous technologies and the evil corporations/governments/lizzid people withholding it from us is strong. I get that. But look at it reasonably. why would a car manufacturer try to stop such a carburetor? They don't care how much fuel a car uses - they get sales by selling cars. And if they could sell a car that got 200mpg, they absolutely would. They'd be absolutely rolling in money. And the government would turn cartwheels if they could escape the dependence on foreign oil - never having to kowtow to OPEC or others. It's just absurd on the face of it that such a terrific device would be held back unless somehow the oil distributors have magically stopped every single such invention. That's nonsense. And that's just the first item discussed. By the way, if you want to do your own research, Pogue's patents included: U.S. patent 1,750,354, U.S. patent 1,938,497, U.S. patent 1,997,497 & U.S. patent 2,026,798. Look them up. There is zero evidence that 1. they would work as described or 2. they have been suppressed in any way. The FDA never shut down Dotto's research. That's ridiculous. Why would the Food and Drug Administration shut down something that isn't a food or drug? How could they? They would have no legal authority. AJ and Hecklefish, can you go back to promoting knowledge and science? I fell in love with you guys after you delved into the Dyatlov Pass incident, but I guess shilling conspiracy theories generates more sales.

Hello AJ and Patreon members. I’m one of the new guys on here but definitely not new to the Why Files. I absolutely love this episode. I have heard of and seen some of these inventors over the years. And I had always wondered why their tech was suppressed. I never knew about the patent secrecy and now makes a lot of sense why we don’t have access to these technologies. I just came across another invention back in 1921 down in Arizona a man had made a zero point electric car. Article start with the car that pulls electricity from the air. Excellent video! Totally agree about green energy being a scam that benefits the rich while not helping the environment. I feel like Tesla's tower and the Great Pyramid are our best hopes for true green energy. You can definitely make a vehicle get hundreds of miles per gallon of gas but that comes at a cost. Coming from a science background many of the free/zero point energy machines are scams in that they don't actually produce energy. However, there is a big coverup in physics ever since the field of quantum physics started to prevent us from understanding and using it effectively. There are competing theories to the standard model that fit much better such as that of David Bohm. However, his socialist ideas ostracized him and now he is forgotten.

Good episode but I do have some ill feelings about electric cars. At least my car is not getting electricity from the coal and directly from my solar system. Might be correct that the solar panels will be toxic waste after 20 years but that is still 20 years of good use and I suspect there is way to recycle it. Last is extraordinary claims need extraordinary evidence. If the science works, why are there not more working prototypes despite patents?

I kept thinking what AJ finally suggested at the end - put it online anonymously! Open sourcing is the only way. But it also belies a potential problem in that if these technologies do exist and inventers are constantly coming up with them, you'd think int he 25+ years that the Internet has been mainstream that we'd have people putting their work out there for others. Are inventers so sheltered in the garages that they think they are coming up with something brand new? Especially for longer-term inventors who are familiar with the patent office, you'd think this would be a well-known fear of theirs. It's of course all very enticing and infuriating at the same time. I'm hoping if even half of these are real we will hopefully see some stuff pop up and go viral online, and if they are easy enough to replicate I'm not sure the gov't has the resources to police tens of thousands of companies both in the US but more importantly globally. Are they going to prevent the tech spreading in the US but allow potential adversaries to develop it and have the US at a disadvantage compared to them? It seems self-defeating at that point...

This was a great episode. It makes me wonder how other governments around the world behave. I mean, wouldn't it be an advantage for example for China to have free energy for their huge population? That would give the party a big boost (more than now even). What about Russia? When they are sanctioned by the 'Western World', wouldn't that be a good alternative? Very interesting and well produced episode. Though a little over the top for me in terms of conspiracy theories. Just accepting that there is a Shadow Government that pulls all the strings? I don't know - this time it lacked the usual open-minded but *critical* WF esteem. So are all new "sustainable" energy businesses just scam? I work for a company that builds e.g. LiIon-based energy storage systems for home and industrial appliance. We are backed (actually owned) by an oil giant. I can tell you that we are well aware of the fact that our batteries must get greener, thus using less dirty materials. Big hopes lie on the Sodium Iron battery technology which seems to be market-ready in maybe 3-5 years. Besides from that we don't want to scam anybody - instead we try to help in decentralize the public energy distribution. Example: A lot of PV production in one place but a lot of demand in a remote place? Discharge the storage systems on the first and charge them on the second place. My company offers the technology to do exactly this. Unfortunately, to really have a big impact, all competitors should work together on this, defining standards, intercommunication etc. But as always - market capitalism and investment (invention) protection prevents this from scaling up to its full potential.

This an an example of the ‘free’ water: this child/young teenager not long ago (after 2000’s) from India who got a patent on how he collected water from the air in Africa by using these giant sheet things to just catch water molecules and collect the condensation which fall down the sheet and into a collection pot for the water. It’s amazing. Then there’s plastics- how do you recycle plastics cost efficiently and effectively all the way down to their final recyclable form? Well these European college kids had the bright idea to turn that non recyclable plastic into insulation for housing. It works exceptionally well and it recycles plastics effectively. But because they made the machine themselves, they sell their machine (I think they’re on version 6 now) to large companies who actually recycle. How many countries/companies actually recycle? About 10% of our RECYCLEABLES get recycled and china does most of that. I don’t know about specifically ‘clean energy’ but I know there’s gotta be some Russian or Japanese kid out there who did.

This was a great episode. You didn’t touch upon it, but there are also all types of sketchy things happening regarding government funding for research and universities. Because researchers are always running after funding it’s easy for the government to throw money at a researcher and own any inventions that may come out of it and bury them. If an invention using zero point energy were to become real it would need to come from a backyard tinkerer because the entire academic/research/government system is set up to squash these types of technologies. The worst part of the invention secrecy act is that it makes your invention disappear into a black hole basically. You could have spent your whole life working on it, and you can never mention it, publish it or continue working on it. There is also pretty much no way to fight against the classification or file an appeal. It’s basically a nameless bureaucrat that slaps the secrecy act on your invention and renew the status year after year forever.

Steven Greer has spoken about zero point energy before and he's right about one thing. People need to stop filing patents and just release their specs online for free to the world. That is the only way zero point energy (or any other type of uber efficient energy) will become a thing.
