1:50 This opinion is void, now. We can absolutely prove that we landed on the moon, because we launched lunar orbital satellites, which regularly take pictures of the landing sites from orbit around the moon. If that's not enough, modern telescopes have enough resolution to pick out the landing sites.. given a crystal clear sky. 14:15 WELL.. in all fairness, at that point in time, nobody envisioned the capability to be able to easily blow up photographs and pick out minute details from them. You see, at that point, you had to magnify the image from a frame of film, then attempt to focus it on the surface of a table, THEN expose that image to a second piece of film or photo paper, THEN attempt to develop that, and be able to pick out the minute details. Nobody envisioned using futuristic computers to auto-magically zoom in on their airbrushed photos. So they weren't so much sloppy, as they were careless. They ought to have spent the extra steps to modify a high-resolution negative, then used those to produce photos that appeared to be near-flawless. Yes, there are other fields where they DID take that much care to cover things up. 15:03 Those aren't objects, those are imagery artifacts, which were produced by a horrifically failed attempt to de-blur the images in question. Sorry. The second blur does appear to be hiding something, but it might have just used a much deeper blur effect. There is of course NO doubt, that these are artificial blur effects intended to obfuscate some aspect of the image. 16:12 Actually, as I understand it, the human race was summarily told to back off and stay off of the moon.. and that's the real reason we haven't been back, and the reason that the excuse of losing the technology to do so is used. However, I should point out, the technology of yesteryear was based on precision instruments which were perfectly calibrated to do their jobs. PERFECTLY. It is possible that today's modern technology is too sensitive and not accurate enough to account for dozens of digits of perfect math. That is something that computer scientists have been warning computer manufacturers about for decades. From the moment the floating point was introduced, to newer mathematical technologies that "faked" further digits instead of mathing them out properly. It's entirely possible that our modern computing devices are simply hopeless, and incapable for accounting for that sort of deep math. Probable, in fact. That's what happens when industry ignores the experts, through entire generations of technology. It might indeed require a bunch of geeks from the Radio Shack days, to build a computing device accurate enough to get us back on the surface of the moon. ..or it might be that we don't want to learn what "or else" means in whatever language the beings on the dark side of the moon speak. 16:21 120% I would like to see an episode about Project Horizon and the rest!! During the 1970's, cosmologists mapped out the next 50 years of what they projected the human race to be capable of. By this point, we SHOULD be mining the asteroid belt, and have cities built inside of hollowed out asteroids heading out in to deep space to eventually explore the nearest star systems. (The KISS version of starships.) There are orders of magnitude of technology that the human race dropped the ball on. Elon Musk is picking up where NASA dropped the ball in about 1973. We should have had COMMERCIAL space shuttles before the 1980's began, not a handful of industrial use craft in the late 1980's! The ability of the human race to stagnate and get nothing done is truly staggering. 16:26 Ah.. you misspoke. In the late 1950's, catching up to Russian technology as far as terrestrial satellites and putting humans in orbit.. was a HUGE priority! The United States stumbled, and let someone get a technological lead on us. We leapfrogged over Russia in technological achievements in short order, and Kennedy's speech about going to the moon came straight out of left field. Nobody expected that. It was motivated out of a desire to keep the train of technological achievement rolling, and keeping a technological advantage over the Russians and other countries. That occurred in the 1960's however, not the 1950's. :) 20:22 Um.. where's the link to the book? 25:08 Oh, I can answer that! McDonalds lobbied the United Nations for permission to burn down half of the Amazonian rainforest, citing the need to feed future hamburger to billions of voracious Americans. Today, they ship all of that beef to China instead, and send us soyburger. So, your modern McDLT would taste like a soy crapburger. That's why they don't bring it back. You're welcome! :) ...Sorry, Heccklefish. :( 26:56 Heh heh.. I would have said "...or two, it's the last discovery of the human race." :D

Albert Deleon

So If we already know that they are here then why are we still listening to the signals in space?? `

Petchlives

I think it’s us, from ancient past. We have always been on the moon.

David Parisi

Thank you for another great episode, AJ and team!

Chris Conlan

NEED that Project Horizon full episode 👀🙏

Kyle Trimbach

Phony as a $2 bill is a great quip for the “fake” moon landing Also that ending. I said it with you.

Skäd

NASA is building an archive to rival the Vatican🤦‍♀️

Skäd

I’m sending HF a $2 bill 💸

Julio Cruz

Holy Crabcat ! Ima try that. Thank you

Julio Cruz

I can’t believe !!I’m dancing with my fins !! Heckle Fish on Thursday nights , with AJ too and Why files on repeat all thru niiiigggghhhtttt!!! That outro is the best. I can’t wait for the next episode or compilation.

Bosco Lemonzit

watched the episode again today, no sound, played Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and it matches up perfectly.

Daniel

Thanks! Many patreons. I mean... I do believe it's a space station of-course, for exploration... The "weaponization" made me a bit annoyed though. Probably need it as a last resort in space though apart from shields and such. But if someone goes into space with weapons.... of-course others would weaponize. So no weapons would be the best probably... depends, i have not been in space. But yeah... More like some self defense last resort kinda thing. I just don't understand why it's all not open source knowledge... That would been awesome and like a normal world. It's all about the understanding. And if some just have a few puzzle pieces, well.. not much to understand. I just don't get why.. money? greed? Also, like open source thinking would just be better... It's definitely some kind of megastucture hehe... oooof. And in space it would be easier to build stuff like that with stuff just floating around... Very interesting. Yeah, i'm more curious about what is out there. Must be an amazing universe! =) oooffff! Yeah, i lack so much perspectives... It's not easy. Thanks for sharing some, though. Yeah i feel like someone who has "graduated" kindergarden... I don't really compare knowledge and intelligence actually. Might be little kids who know way more the me hehe. ;) But can they lift a table? No, they gotta eat... grow. tsss.. ;) Yeah i mean... we as lifeforms want to evolve and expand our minds. So i kinda have some grasp. Many out there are way way waaaaay more knowledgeable then me probably. Some hypothesis i have... Could be possible. I mean.. i don't even know at what level of "ignorance"/lack of understanding and perspectives i even am at... Hmm. Still, it's mostly interesting that others know more and have more perspective, but of-course i also wanna try and understand more! Yeah, well... It is as it is right now... Would be cool if all of this was transparent and open source knowledge though for more realness and like... Yeah, a normal planet that are open minded with how things really are, for understanding and all. This was interesting. Space station there, yeah i have thought about that already. Watched the video now though. Thanks. Now i'm more interested in solutions and what's out there... But yeah.. Mostly perspectives maybe... I'm no expert in particle physics, and such. But yeah also what lifeforms are out there... And like, would many dare to be themselves also... Maybe... I see them as individuals then. Why would not "aliens" be friendly though in space, i think many are. Many might not be though. Probably infinite different "races", etc... Hmm... I don't even know if evolution or creation, or both is a thing. Evolution and natural selection seems like a fact though. That it's an intelligence. Yeah i have many thought, not sure why i should write them all here though... Just feels like i'm getting some basic picture now which i should have learnt in kindergarden if it was more like open knowledge and understanding.. Also, kids would mostly be curious about it! Would seem like normal. I do not really understand why it's not being taught at kindergarden... Would just make many more curious, and exploration seeking. Can't lie to kids... Also "Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth." - buddha. It just seems like a way slow process to try and understand stuff overall... I don't understand why it's not fully transparent. It's exploration and individuals exploring and that's in the dna... trying to understand stuff.

Tim Murphy

Cool. Sorry, got to this late, but I enjoyed it. Better yet, I think Hecklefish has a point about the two dollar bill. I'm thinking we need a new sticker of one, replacing Jefferson with Lord Hecklefish. 💵 Sign me up! 😎

gmelius79

Most of the videos will not play, is there an issue with the platform?

matthew owen

Yes do the horizon video

Julio Cruz

Happy Fathers Day WF!!!!

Mark

Wonder why the Van Allen Belt was safe all those years ago but now ?? NASA says the Van Allen is one of the things stopping theme now. Of course I heard that on web as well. Just thought it was worth the reminder that was said at NASA before.

Steve Wilcox

Great episode we all enjoyed it. 👍🏽👍🏽

Kristina Michelle

Wowza!

Trent dummy what else would ya call me.

Terrific show as always AJ n Crew. I admire the fact that each show is as awesome as the last. They’re all great! I wonder myself about if Van Allen plays a roll or not. “Wish I knew Charlie” ;) fantastic read, enjoyed it, far too much ego or something in that book lol. Thanks again AJ n Team. Keep rockin it!

Crazywolf63

Great episode keep up the good work all

Patrick Houser

Whatever became of the moon jelly from the dark side of the moon

Patrick Houser

One of my favorite topics is space and the moon base theory is awesome! Such good material squad big love and appreciation

Excited Molecule Divided

Sincere congratulations on the citations in the Harvard paper. I do research for a living and recognize what an achievement that is. I couldn’t be happier for everyone involved in the show. That is the coolest of beans!

Cal Jennings

Did you hear about AI Steve running for Parliament? The AI nightmare has begun.

Gus Viera

Sorry, I missed one edit: at 12:28 on the Patreon version, A.J. is talking about "Major Robert Dean", but the "Dean" in the image (as shown on his name tag) is a Sergeant First Class or "SFC". So, in my opinion, either this "SFC Dean" was promoted after this photo was taken, or there is a "Major Dean" out there to find, if possible. Or we just got his rank wrong and he is, in fact, Sergeant First Class Dean. Again, sorry for the lateness.

William Lyles

Was a great video, keep up the good work

Andrew Lader

Loved the episode! Just had some minor eye surgery, and I needed a pick-up. Thank you.

Mark

I am new to this part of things. Love the show. I’m learning my way around.

Don Stewart

Awesome episode. Hope you all have a nice weekend.

Joe P

That is awesome. LoL

MikeD

I find myself humming and/or singing Floyd lines regularly for decades. The reaction would depend on the song and if the people around recognized it as a song. The lyric "Ooh, I need a dirty woman..." would often get me concerned and frightened looks...and one time in my twenties, a date.

Quanderhorn

Yes, someone's had a severe case of assuming US date format again, and rendered 10th of a month as October on that paper.

Quanderhorn

Why did LBJ hate the man who made him Vice President? Was it because JFK's slaying robbed LBJ of a chance at the full eight years of Presidency

Jill V Earl

Remember, NASA = Never A Straight Answer.

Quanderhorn

What, so we've been seeing a clone of AJ these past few wks ?

Quanderhorn

Yes, but you'd've thought NASA could've afforded a few $100 for some reels of high quality tape

Quanderhorn

Wonder no longer. You won't get such from official sources.

Andrew Burke

Great episode!

Kazren

Something is going on. I attended a Richard Hoagland lecture with slides and it was extremely compelling. You have to wonder if we'll ever get a straight story from any "official source. Great episode.

Scott Shields

Wasn’t recording over old tapes to save money standard practice back then?

Jalopy Jezebel

Woo! Been waiting for this one. Thanks Team!

Alan Edwards

One of my fav topics!

Ian Dodds

Excellent episode 👏 definitely want to see a project horizon episode 😀

cindy Bartolotto

I love wf!!! And I love that song at the end!! I don't know who that singer is , but DAM !! He's great!!

Annie Andrén

Thank you AJ, you deserve every bit of our support! Love the WF!

GL

Far side of the moon has always been a good topic but AJ presents it at another level. His delivery is otherworldly- The Why Files rocks and AJ is the front man👽

Susan Towers

Oh my goodness! It’s so amazing to have the genuine A.J. back!

Mustangman

"If you would like to see more..." Yes and yes for the next time you ask. I'm addicted to this place.

Massie

Man, LBJ hated JFK. You could see it in his eyes. His mistress claimed that LBJ knew about the assassination before it happened.

Heather Lamb

The moon is weird

Christopher Nichols

I think we will know the truth only after we die!

Pete Mitchell

Yes, please, Project Horizon! Just gonna throw in my two sense: If there are aliens on the far side of the moon, and they're the reason why we haven't gone back, what changed so it's now ok to go? Stands to reason that if there was a malevolent species ready to kick our butts, and we know about them, a warning to all who might endeavor to travel to the forbidden space rock would not only be in order but broadcast worldwide so as to not poke the bear. Anyway, great episode! Peace!

Edward Bressman

Great episode on the moon! Thank you 🙏🏻

Decker

Right??? Whenever somebody says, why can't we come up with the cure for this simple disease, I always respond to that comment with "right? We went to the moon in the 1960s... But we still can't do.. what again?" Honestly the best respond so many can give LOL

M. Parrish

I FREAKING LOVE WF! 👏🏽👏🏽🛸

Decker

Are those considered fallen angels? Or the hybrids right? Check out the anunnaki episode for that

Decker

Hell yeah I would love to see that

Decker

You definitely deserve our support dude. You started a franchise, even a kingdom many would say. You have all our support and honestly I can't wait till every Thursday to listen to the next episode. It's honestly one of the most amazing things to look forward to during the week. You have no idea how many people you are supporting on a weekly basis. Thank you so much AJ.

Great vid. Nothing new here though. I love the idea of the astronauts hearing some type of country space music on the dark side 😁 If I were to believe ANYONES TESTIMONY concerning this matter, it would only be the ASTRONAUTS. Good vid AJ🫡

tyler lee

Why is it we could go to the moon in the 60’s and 70’s but in 2024 we cannot

wakemeupnow253

I love how so many people complained about the dirty jokes and y'all said " hold my beer" lol keep em coming 🐠 #teamhecklefish

Brad Moran

"Or the end of it.". You sure know how to push those clouds back, AJ..😄

John DeSantis

Thank you for this episode AJ, Jenn, Gino and the whole WF Team. Thank you for bringing up in this episode the Apollo 10 astronauts hearing transmission(s) when the Apollo 10 astronauts orbited the moon. I had posted a summation of a ham radio operator presentation of him (worked for GE) being on a helicopter carrier that picked up the three astronauts of Apollo 10. He made this presentation using pictures (110 camera?) he had taken while on board. The ham operator gave a talk and showed the pictures on a large screen at a monthly meeting of the ham radio club that I am a member of. I posted this in the #Story-Time in discord back in July '23.

Jason Mitchell

Id love to see something about project horizon

Dog Creek-Customs

коле македонски

Wtf again my name is not on the list. Getting sloppy twf

SurfTown

Back with a banger . The moon is absolutely and definitely artificial. Placed there by.. Ancients, a cosmic diety, Aliens or God. Choose your higher power but one of them put it there.

Sianna Marie

Great ep!

Mark Denney

If a HAM radio picked up the signal and you have a copy of the recording, could you have it analyzed by a sound expert to see if it was edited? I want to point out, too, that without the moon, there may not be life on Earth as we know it. There is so much life on Earth that is in sync with the moon that if extraterrestrials didn't put the moon there, the universe did to make sure life would flourish here. Thank you.

Dave Dolle

Would Love to see a Weaponized Moon episode.

Zina Boeyenas

Another great show 👏

SANDRA Mann

Great episode. I was a little girl back then, saw Kennedy on tv, and kind of remember some of those launches. The family would all gather around the single black and white tv.

mark murray

If you can't see it,this is the reference mentioned

Mikey Likey

"However, there is also a third minority class of hypothesis: an unconventional terrestrial explanation, outside the prevailing consensus view of the universe." If it's not man-made technology nor extraterrestrially made, it must mean something akin to parallel universes, extra dimensions of space and time, etc., "outside the prevailing consensus view of the universe," right? I'll read this later, in full.... lol

mark murray

33 Many of the rumours surrounding Operation Highjump stem from an ostensible "'missing diary" which surfaced in the 1970s, allegedly written by Byrd (1990) during the operation, subtitled, ""A Secret Expedition and Journey to a Paradise Inside the Earth." In this, he claimed to have been pulled through a "vortex" while flying over an unknown mountain range, whereupon he entered *inner Earth and encountered a fantastical city, inhabited by humanoid creatures. Seemingly summoned as representative of humanity, he was reprimanded by a figure called "The Master" about the invention of the atomic bomb and warned a dark age is to come if humans do not mend their ways. However, as discussed on The Why Files (2022), this is widely believed to be a work of fiction. For example, whole paragraphs of what The Master apparently said to Byrd are seemingly plagiarized from the 1937 film Lost Horizon (in which the main character talks to The Dalai Lama who issues the same kind of environmental warning). However, other rumours about the mission are less easily dismissed, or are at least rather strange. These even include events relating to the trip recounted in the seemingly fictional diary, most notably the claim that Byrd's experience involved a period of *missing time"; for instance, records show that Byrd did take a flight that arrived back at base three hours late, despite him being in a small short-range airplane that in theory would not have had enough fuel for that length of flight. Other stories of the expedition that have some corroborating evidence include the claim that the mission was cut short because it had faced attacks from UAP appearing out of the water, which apparently was verified by a secret Soviet intelligence report that was released (along with many others) after the collapse of the USSR. As summarized on The Why Files: According to documents leaked in 1991, things ... take a strange turn just two days after arriving. Bright lights were seen on the horizon. The sailors thought it was another ship but they were below the Antarctic circle in uncharted waters. The lights then ascended at a 45 degree angle into the sky very quickly. They tried to make radar contact but were out of range. Three hours later, five more lights appeared in the sky and began flying directly toward the ships. Anti-aircraft guns and 20-millimeter cannons were fired but had no effect. A radio operator stationed on the USS Brownson gave testimony of how strange crafts suddenly appeared from the ocean. This is corroborated by Lieutenant John Sayerson, who said objects shot vertically out of the water at tremendous speeds. One object flew between the mass of his ship with such force that the radio antenna oscillated back and forth from the turbulence. An aircraft from the USS Currituck took to the sky but was immediately struck by a beam of energy and destroyed. About 10 miles away the torpedo boat USS Maddox burst into flames and began to sink. According to the report this was the first attack of several that would occur over the next few weeks. February 26 would be the last engagement with the unknown craft: the Navy task force ordered retreat and left the area a full six months before their mission was supposed to end.
