Started doing 45 min documentaries per week - that's not easy. We had some growing pains this year, I had surgery, Jen had a hospital stay - life happens, we are a small team that can't do this without patron support, so no excuses - we are working hard and giving you what we can. I won't release a video unless it's up to WF quality. We reorg'd in December and hoping this keeps the weekly back to normal around here.

I tried so incredibly hard to keep up with those young shit heads, but I guess I just couldn’t hang. I’ve never been fired before, and I believe I’m still in shock. Exactly. This is the only Patreon thing I have actually contributed to. I have enjoyed the Why Files ever since I came across the channel. I will turn on some old episodes to listen to on long drives. They are a small team that, I imagine, have lives and things outside of this. Plus, it's the holiday season so if they are slow because of hanging with family, that's cool. Heck, if they just slow because whatever reason, it doesn't bother me. People need to find their inner peace and stop being so negative.

Reading through the comments below, as a new member please can I urge you all to sit tight, I appreciate we aren’t getting the content promised but the last show released, how good was that… it wasn’t rushed or poor quality, it was amazing, now if we cut our funding it will restrict their actions and slow them down, meaning we will have to wait even longer, for new content. We all love the show, there is nothing else like it out there, for many of us this is the only show we contribute to and that’s because of how good it is, please don’t force them to rush out content to the detriment of quality. What’s up fam. Just checking in again hoping a new video would be up. I can’t believe we only got 1 this month. It almost seem was intentional saying he hired all these people a things were going to change an here we are end of the year 1 video in December. I’ve got a feeling we are going to hear a story from him bout having to shut it down or something an he probably new it back in the summer or something an just keep stringing us along. Maybe he forgot he makes promises? An all that stuff in the beginning bout he would say we loved we are appreciated would not be possible without us..deep down I hope he puts out a great video tonight an he gets his stuff together but the whole situation just isn’t working like in the past. The first 2 years he was on it did an amazing job an never had to address this stuff. Whatever is going on with him I wish he would let us know. I feel like a dick making negative comments too but we are the customer and we have been so so supportive of the why files. Obviously we don’t know what’s going on in their lives but they have been promising for a very long time that things would get back on track and like you said broken promises. I also agree. This is the only channel I have ever paid for and I think we have been patient. There seems to be no problem in plugging merchandise though and I have purchased it in the past. I’m not sure how much longer I can justify paying for something that doesn’t produce. I’m on a very tight budget and spend my dollars wisely. As much as I love this channel and it’s team paying something for nothing doesn’t seem very smart. Also as there are no videos being posted on a regular basis I might as well save my money and just check YouTube every couple of months and see if anything has actually been posted. It’s a shame this is, was an amazing channel. I miss looking forward to Thursday nights. I wish The Why Files all the best. Edit: I see they are/were offering gift subscriptions. How could you ever gift somebody something they would rarely ever see? That’s a pretty crappy gift.

Good morning everyone, I totally agree with Jessie here, and I sincerely thank you for writing this. I love The Why Files. I’ve been a long-time member and have stuck with the channel through thick and thin. Like you, I’ve had similar frustrations, but I’ve hesitated to speak up for fear of stirring the pot after everything that happened a while back, being criticized for saying how you feel at load, fearing the retribution of others that don’t feel like me, and they can make someone feel so bad just because others feel in a different way. Granted, there are many ways to say many things and that goes both ways I think, however, I feel that terrible moment could have been used to create community by being understanding (both ways) and some re assurance could have gone a long way. Sometimes, it feels like we’re walking on eggshells, unable to express honest feedback without being seen as disrespectful. AJ and the Why Files Team, I have loved your channel since the very first day I found it. Like Jessie, yours is the only channel I support financially, and that brings an added level of personal investment in the experience. However, it’s starting to feel like, now that you’ve reached the level of success you were aiming for, the Patron community has become an afterthought. The Patreon is poorly managed overall. For example, it’s no longer possible to send questions through Discord, responses to messages here are minimal, and there’s barely 10 minutes of interaction per post once a week. The AMAs, while appreciated, feel hastily thrown together at the last minute, barely anyone can even plan to assist, rather than thoughtfully planned. Could these at least be scheduled consistently—same day, same time each week? At the very least, that seems like a manageable improvement. Patience among the community has been more than generous, but it feels like the team is struggling to deliver what was promised. Adding insult to injury, you’re now working on launching a new channel. While growth is exciting and something to celebrate, it’s hard not to question how a second channel will be managed when this one already seems to be stretched too thin. AJ, it may be time to consider hiring an executive to help manage operations. I understand you may feel like no one else can meet your standards, and no one can do ANYTHING, like you want, like you ambition but sometimes trying to handle everything yourself means nothing gets done as it should. I truly hope this feedback can help things improve. For those Patrons who have canceled their memberships, I think offering them an extended trial or bonus access would go a long way in showing goodwill and ensuring they feel valued so they might even come back, when you are also back. As always, I LOvE The Why Files and I wish you the best 😃 Good luck with everything!

This is a big question mark. How can a fairly large “small business”, that operates with a fairly large staff, and receives a fairly large month net profit, fail to produce a product on even the most basically designed timeline. No business could survive this or appropriately run this way. Though, in real talk, AJ and the lore of The WhyFiles keeps in a float…but even large boats can turn into a sinking life raft if not maintained correctly. I want The WhyFiles to survive…and I want the people who I’ve talked into watching it not question me about the product’s release at least once a week. 😑

I agree. The WhyFiles is amazing…which is why I pay for the subscription and consume, like, and comment, so the algorithm and advertisements keep them up in the high rankings. Patience is great, but even with that comes the thing you’re being patient on having responsibility in the wait. And this is only because things have been promised…more times than a few…and not delivered on. I think the most frustrating thing is “potential and ability.” The WhyFiles has the potential to surpass YouTube views and break out into the mainstream market. I truly believe this. But the ability for them to make this happen has taken a complete nose dive in the past 16 months. A show can be uber creative…the host insanely likable…the crew tremendously valuable…and the content a step above the rest, but without follow through to the people who literally became one of the steps to make The WhyFiles a success (can’t be awesome with no views), things fall off, people get annoyed and other things come along to steal viewer’s attention and time. After all, time is what is given by the fans, by me, and for that payment, it’s very fair to expect the promised rewards.

Ugh. I hate to be like this but your channel is the only one I pay for. It’s been wellll over a year of promises, broken promises, blame on being tired, not the right editors, OCD wait on releases, etc., and it’s still the same ol’ issues (if not worse). I have to point out that although I only pay for your channel, I consume a lot of other channels (mainly true crime) and they put out so much product and videos on a consistent basis with a very small team of people (which some do an immense amount of research), that it is baffling how a large staff of people, rotation of a large team of editors, HUGE operating quarters, very large financial rake in of subscription/advertisement money, and clear creative brilliance, videos can’t be done. I’m truly wondering how this can be? I feel like most fans and supporters have been more than patient, kind, gracious and understanding, but I don’t get how it is still the same over a year later. Is there no outside business manager, or something to actually be responsible to?…because being responsible to the fans doesn’t seem to be what gets the job done. Can we please, please, please, please actually start getting things that not only we pay for, but also that we are promised from a fairly large company such as yours. Selling your merch is great…but giving us the product should be first on your priority list. Again. Hate to be like that, as I’m a nobody…but dang. Seriously. Now I’m prepared to get roasted by the WF Swifties. 😂

Is the burnout due to his OCD in editing and researching like he’s mentioned jokingly in past episodes or the demand? I want to tell you I’ve been genuinely researching these “drones.” They’re not drones. They’re also all over the world right now. Fleets of them can be seen as high as 34,000’. My brother is a 34 yr veteran captain of ✈️. He’s seen some. Photographed them. I’ve seen them on video. Looked at video analysis. They are not manmade. We have nothing close to this technology. Our aircraft start to rip apart at 9Gs. At 5Gs, pilots start dying. The ones with the blinking lights, that aren’t police drones.. that can maintain a fixed position for hours, silently, with no visible signs of propulsion… they aren’t even moved by weather conditions. That’s not possible for us. First, it takes immense energy to keep an ave police sized drone up for 20 min like that. Additionally people are reporting and filming craft as big as school buses. When they do take off, they can actually take off at 22,000+ mph. They don’t have to build up to it. It’s immediate, I know you guys must be super busy, but there’s so much on YouTube and tik til now.. These crafts have been sighted all over the world. There are fleets. They’ve been seen all over the country, over Canada, AK, HI, Malaysia, Moscow, Slovakia, China, India, Africa, the Uk, Turkey, Western Europe, & the Middle East. They’ve been recorded shape- shifting.. splitting into multiple glowing orbs, sending beams of light to the earth, responding to people trying to talk to them. They’ve been seen coming out of the Atlantic Ocean. They are not manmade. For argument’s sake, let’s say we have reverse engineered some type of advanced technology from some much more advanced civilization. There are at least hundreds and hundreds of these things being seen all over the world. Just one would cost at least a trillion. No country is shooting at these UAPs bc they know it’s ineffective. Notice also how adversarial countries aren’t blaming each other… I know this is long. Worth it though, I promise. On YouTube, checkout the channel, UndercoverEtuk. He does a decent job analyzing footage. It will blow your minds. What’s interesting is there’s two separate predictions about all the UAPs in the skies.
