I would, not to tell you how to tell your story, but I would find a way to work that into the plot, maybe in a later page after Scarlet finds out, "Why didn't you just not have me over?!" "Deadlines..."

Ah! Thats something I had to cut for time, but Maya did try to change dates but the project was due a certain date so they had to work on it as soon as possible. The usual projects they give zero time for that everybody loves :D
