Hi all,
Welcome to 2022 and we hope you all have a great 2022! We're here with our first update of the year to address a number of code issues, UI changes and more!
We've spent the vast majority of our time over the past 2 weeks working on a lot of pressing issues relating to stability, performance and bugs this month and we'd like to share our progress with you all.
Save/Load Issues
We have made major changes to the Saving system, streamlining it further and optimizing the way it loads the core dialog and quest system which in our tests has proven to be a dramatic improvement for those players who were having the worst issues.
These fixes are totally backwards compatible and should address the problems for most of you all going forward! In the very near future we'll be limiting the number of save slots you can have to reduce further issues going forward.
UI Overhaul
We spent a lot of time this month working on our inventory management system, now each slot is selectable and has it's own tab for you to select your equipment.
Player Stats are now visible here too:
Dialog Improvements:
During Dialog, you can now use the Keyboard keys 1,2,3,4 etc to choose dialog choices and spacebar to skip or select choices.
We've also added a floating name bar for the NPCs:
Optimization
We're very aware that we've been creeping up in performance requirements lately and so this month we did a bit of spring cleaning early! We've boosted FPS and lowered CPU usage across the board by optimization in dialog cameras, NPCs roaming around the world, textures, particles and more!
We're always working on continually improving the performance in the game and we're currently prototyping some much more radical changes.
Combat
We've changed our targeting system, moving back to our previous system with dynamic targeting. We felt that managing two combat targeting systems(which is what we had) ended up being messy and not what we intended; now we're focusing on polishing and making one system. Additionally, a change some of you will notice is that thrust attack is now sprint + regular attack rather than having it's own keybind.
We're currently working on incorporating magic into the combat system this will be coming later this year with it's own quest. Ranged upgrades and improvements are also on the way with bow crafting, arrows and some changes to enemy behaviour.
Squish goes the Bug
We've tried our best to go through as many bugs we could find in the last two updates and fix as many as we can in time for the update, including issues with Milk and Honey, Quest tracking, day/night issues, fast travel, NPCs, animations, typos, save/load issues and more! Check out the full change log below and we hope you now have a smoother experience all round!

- Fixed the description on Esi's shield so it's now visible
- Fixed an issue with the loot bag so it doesn't get broken by opening the In-Game Menu
- Fixed multiple issues with Nepthy's dialog
- Fixed multiple issues Milk and Honey Inquisitor of bast cut scenes and dialog interactions
- Fixed an issue with the Inquisitor of bast enslavement getting the player stuck
- Fixed an issue with Neboo that made her less talkative
- Fixed a bug where Cursed Ones had too much stun resistance
- Fixed an issue with the Northern Drake Horns
- Fixed a bug where players could not free Prisoners
- Fixed issues with Jailer Keys not stacking, they can now also be sold and dropped
- Fixed a bug with the new item notification not including consumables already equipped
- Fixed bug where certian enemies would fall through the map
- Fixed the Fast Travel Icon in the World Map Legend
- Changed the voice lines for the dragon increasing the volume
- Changed NPC optimization to increase performance including new culling and code optimization
- Changed multiple text lines accross the game to resolve some grammar issues
- Changed the combat system to use only one type of targeting
- Changed various combat animations
- Changed Thurst Attacks to be peformed with light attack, while sprinting
- Changed the overall damage of various enemy AI
- Changed the Save/Load system to resolve the SaveGame issues

I am thoroughly enjoying the game. A few current glitches: The jailer key is not working for the prisoner in the southwest area. (the previous version, the key didn't work on the prisoner to the west) AND the sex with the dragon will only work once. After one sex scene you can't interact with the dragon again.

i have good internet and still downloading takes around 6 hours for something that normal takes some minutes. Download freezes including. so the problem isnt on your end only.

You guys need to do something about the way the game updates through the launcher. I have bad internet, it sucks but there isn't really anything I can do about it unless something becomes available (totally not on you guys). Whenever there's even a tiny hiccup in the connection the download freezes and never resumes because of how your launcher does updates, not being able to pause and resume the download and being forced to restart from 0% every time there's an interruption in 2022 is embarrassing. I have restrictive data and I've already spent over 7g trying to download 2.6g because of your launcher. Pretty much ready to call it quits at this point.

Same thing happened to me. Unfortunately I had to restart the game completely to get it to work. But on the plus side I was able to fix the inventory and key issue all together by restarting.
Loving the game so far! I've seen other people mention it but I am also having the bug where I can't pick up arrows, shields, etc because it says my inventory is full. All I have in there right now is a sword and no arrows for my bow. I can pick up armor and jailers keys though.

1 - same here, Quest Tales of the Void - The weapon didn't drop after finishing.

Ok, after trying a little here and there I have been able to reach two conclusions: 1- Activating several missions at the same time may mean that the items related to those missions do not appear in the game. 2- When the bug of the inventory arises and the screen gets stuck (I have already confirmed that it is not only with the chest of the camp, but also with the normal inventory and the transformation menu) when you exit the game and load ALL the items of transformation that you have not collected disappear and that bug appears that indicates that the inventory is full and you cannot loot new items. As a clarification for those who have this error from using old save games, I recommend starting a new one, since they will not always be compatible from one version to another.

my version number shows 0.3.26 not .25
Other items are not showing up in inventory and not able to even purchase armor or clothing says full. but nothing there.
Blood
Hit an issue. None of my armor or weapons that were in my inventory pre patch are there anymore and any time I try to change my weapon, it just shows up as blank even though if I go to my stash, I can put said weapons in the stash. Update: Found 2 other minor issues. Sometimes when looking into the stash, when I hit esc it keeps the stash screen up and I can't pick up anything armor or weapon wise because it says my inventory is full in relation to the first bug.
Don't know what changed but before I was able to have clothing items in inventory now it says inventory full and I have almost nothing in inventory but it will allow me to pick up other items and my jailer keys won't work now whereas they would before.

In dialog the actor I am talking to, all I see is their chin down. Is there a way to fix this?

Great job guys, that's a big improvement; but unfortunately nothing is perfect. Bug detected, the ritual vessel does not appear in the mission Footsetps of Dragon. Bug detected, The Spirit Sands do not appear in the quest of the seal stone. Bug detected, sometimes when opening the camp chest, when leaving the inventory screen, it gets stuck. It is solved loading game; but after opening and closing it 3 or 4 times it happens again.
I would say it's at least in the plans, since there's a dialog with her in which she basically ask if you would follow her orders without a fuss in her bed if she invites you into her chambers. That's just my thinking...
Wow, it's like the AC Origin any Odyssey UI, I really liked that so it's a BIG + for me! Great work as always!
