We're finally here with what - barring a meteorite impact or tsunami - should be the last non-UE5 Ascended update.
UE4 Content
For this update we've finally revisited the artwork for a key boss and faction in the world; they've been left out in the cold for too long, and finally we've updated the Inquisitor of Bast, along with her trusty Zealots.
This means that there are impactful decisions to make at the end of her fight now. Spare the Inquisitor and take her captive, or kill her and obtain her armour. She is now potentially interactive in DSS scenes, should her devotion to the Inquisition crack in the face of her needs. She doesn't have a unique scene right now, but she's fully voice acted.
All the new gear is available in the colours of the Inquisitor (gold/white) and the Zealots (copper/grey). Only one of the planned head variants is currently in-game, however the other will be come in a future update once we're into the IOB questline.
This release also has some quality of life bug fixes to DSS, some NPCs around the world have some texturing issues fixed and the Scribe from Blood Script now has a DSS Scene enabled.
Release Dates
Finally there have been a lot of questions about whether the normal delays between Patreon tiers will apply with the UE5 release. The answer is that no, due to how long this has been delayed we have shortened the timeframe on this release.

We've done as much testing as we can behind closed doors, but it's not unlikely that UE5 has the potential to be a particularly buggy release; many systems have been rebuilt from the ground up, there are many new mechanics, and some elements have been disabled until the artwork is finalised. There will certainly be a vast number of fixes required in the first week following release - once these come to light and are resolved we'll begin reenabling some of the hidden features, such as magic and tomb puzzles, in the following content updates.

A request to the developers Please finish UE4. Many scenes in the main quest are not fully usable and scenes in many side quests are also not available. Having fun with the sisters at the temple is not possible either. The dragon isn't completely finished either. I've been waiting for some scenes especially with Naga and Centaur for a long time and I finally want them in my camp. But you can't buy them, you can't convince them, you can't have fun, and pregnancy is still not possible. Please finally change that. I know UE5 is a priority right now, but you can't give up on the original before it's finished. After all, UE5 is a completely different game that can be seen more as a sequel or prequel. But you have to finish Carnal Instinct 1 first. Please change this as soon as possible.

their used to a similar problem. i wish i would point you to where exactly the solution was or how to do it. i found it either google search or discord. it had to do with clearing your download cache or cookies

It might be live, but it is impossible to download. Downloader just sits at 0% and 0 bytes. I don't think I will support any more, just go back to my Steam and wait for the update.

Timmy consider yourself lucky you're getting in at 29.99 I got in at alfa soon it will be beta the game has come a long way. since I started. If you really like the game then help the developers out donate some cash. I did.

Been away a year or so came back to see what progress was made....not much it seems. Game looks lovely but the boon of the gods quest is still in "comming" soon phase... I'd bet most other quests are still half baked as well.

They're not going to charge people for the ue5 version on Steam. It's going to be a opt-in beta branch. So everyone who has the game currently will be able to jump into the ue5 version by switching to the beta branch. If you read the release date info, you would have seen that.

just wondering because if your not doing anything else on the steam version for ue4 you should probably send refunds to everyone who owns the game that they are charged 29.99 for instead of ripping them off and releasing updates and those new game updates aren't even for the steam game besides fixing bugs. that's gonna hurt your game in the future especially if they have to pay again for a game thats not gonna see updates a month after your patron. might as well not put it on steam full price for a game not finished. love this game but not going to pay for a new version that isn't even finished and i wont see anything update wise months before on here. if you gonna charge full price on steam for a game then you should release the same amount of updates as your patron. that's the complaint on steam me and a lot of people like the game but feel ripped off on steam

Installer doesn't work under Linux. Tries installing the game with Steam Proton and Bottles with Wine-GE, both fail asking for non-admin privileges. I guess I'll have to see if it gets fixed in the future. EDIT: I was able to get the Launcher running with a lot of work, but the game simply wouldn't download, I tried all the solution recommended in the FAQ on the website, nothing worked. I can see the launcher, and I am able to login using Patreon, but the download window stay stuck at 0% and won't move it also can't be closed, I have to force kill the launcher to get it to close.

The Demi forms seems to be having texture issues. The Demi Jackal in particular is having a human face show up on the head. The necklace in DSS scenes are missing for the feline. EDIT: Adding onto here that a very consistent bug I've run into, is that sometimes I start a new game and the jars in the world just don't show up. This sometimes happens right on new game start or I'll reload a save and the jars don't show up where they should be. Which means I can't unlock any cosmetics or complete certain questlines.
