Alvaro confirmed in the discord there "Used to be a single female planet" when someone questioned him around Theia. It's possible Theia will be male but the speculation and the hinting leans towards Theia being a girl due to fan service "Presumably".

I cannot wait to see the younger planets, I know a lot of people are excited for the introduction of Theia however I am more excited to see the planets that no longer exist, That either drifted away, collided with other planets or were devoured by Jupiter in his tour of the early solar system. There was many that didn't make it with the eight we have today the eight that survived.
