“Why? I thought we had an unspoken understanding. You were doing your thing on your side, and I was doing mine on my side, and aside from that, we were being happy together.”
It took a few seconds for me to process this.
“An unspoken… Wait! Your thing? What… What are you talking about?”
“I thought we had this rule where we could explore our kinks outside of our relationship as long as we did not let it interfere with us. Isn’t it what you’ve been doing all this time?”
“Our kinks? Mallory, this is… Like, there’s no such rule!”
She burst out laughing.
“Okay, so, what you’re telling me is that you were happy cheating on me for all these years as long as you thought that I was clueless about it?”
“No! Of course, not! Don’t twist my words.”
“Say what you mean, then!”
“I don’t know! Fuck! I’m so confused right now.”
I burst out laughing as well.
The nerves, no doubt.
“Look, I’m only bringing this up tonight because the video is out and Jensen is a freaking moron trying to destroy our marriage for some reason.”
“He’s into you, that’s why. He’s always been into you.” I spoke.
“Yeah, I thought so…”
“But Mallory, you’re fine with this? I mean, what you saw, what I did.”
She sighed.
“Fine is a big word but let’s just say that I’ve always been a realist. I don’t live in a utopic world where human beings are strictly monogamous. I don’t think marriages today survive like this.”
“Wow. Again, I thought we were both living in this world where we believed in not cheating.”
“Seriously? You’re going to get mad at me for saying that I don’t believe in monogamy when you’ve been cheating on me for basically twenty years.”
“I haven’t cheated…”
“Ryan…”
“Well, yeah, I’m a damn moron myself it seems like. It’s not… Fuck, I cannot find my words tonight. I know I’m in the wrong, one hundred percent.”
“Clearly, the cat is out of the bag now so what I suggest is that we take care of dealing with Jensen and the video, and then, we’ll have a serious chat about our sex life.”
“I agree. Mallory, please, don’t misunderstand my reaction. I’m just…. Well, honestly, I’m shocked. But of course, I’m happy to have this conversation and to see how you’re reacting right now.”
“We’ll go deeper into this later, no pun intended.” Yes, she even dared a joke. “But I am curious. What is your kink exactly? You’re bisexual? You’re like your brother’s husband, Austin? Finding out that you like guys later in life?”
“No… I mean, I guess I’m not that straight but the main thing is… I like to… Well, I like to show myself off, I’m an exhibitionist of some sort. But I didn’t want to do it with other women, I know how crazy that may sound, but it was really out of respect for you that I went with men.”
Hearing me saying this out loud was indeed even worse.
“That does sound crazy, honey.” Mallory told me wisely.
“Yes, I know. But it is actually how it started for me. I thought that if I was getting my kick out of showing off to guys and not to girls, it wouldn’t mean anything and this was not really cheating.”
“And then?”
“Then, things just got… more intense.”
The video on the laptop was paused, right in the middle of my orgasm.
“I can see that.”
I looked at Mallory.
I have mentioned in this story previously that Eric had aged very well, but it was also the case for Mallory.
She was gorgeous at 40 years old, just like she was at 20, if not more.
We talked about Jensen for a while, I called the company who had organized the “event”, and they were mortified.
They promised to take care of the leak and to find out who was responsible among the guests.
But honestly, at this stage, I did not care about it that much.
I was completely overwhelmed by Mallory’s reaction, how she had known all of this time, how mature and in a way, resilient, she had been about this, and how she seemed to have some secrets of her own.
“Mal…”
“Yes?”
“I’m in no position to judge you and I promise that I won’t but you… You did mention having our things, like separately, outside of our marriage.”
She smiled.
“Yes?”
“So you had your own thing going on then?”
“I honestly thought that you kind of knew, just like I did.”
“Nope… I had no idea. I suppose I was too focused on trying to hide my own bullshit… And greatly failing at it.”
“What do you want to know?” She asked.
“I’m not sure… Mainly, I guess I want to know what is your kink? What do you do outside of our marriage?”
She bit her lips.
“I’m far from doing anything regularly, but I do like gangbangs. A lot.”
If I was flabbergasted before, now I was on the floor.
“Wh… What?”
She shrugged her shoulders.
“I like being taken, manhandled by multiple men all at once. I just want them to be aggressive and to rough me up a little, or more than a little. Hey, I guess we’re so different after all!”
And this conversation was opening the door to a whole new realm of possibilities…

Throughout the past three years, I have really enjoyed going back to Ryan's life occasionally, exploring different moments of his life, and I hope you have enjoyed his journey as well.
Ryan remains one of my favourite characters from the "My First Year" trilogy, and overall, from all of my books.
It is bittersweet to say goodbye to him but I was done with this spin-off.
Obviously, who knows if Ryan might come back once again through another setting?
Also, I hope that you have enjoyed this ending and the twist.
I did not know how far Ryan would go in his sexual adventures, but I always knew Mallory will surprise him in the end. It was something I had in mind since writing "My First Year in College" when I introduced the couple nearly five years ago...
Back then, I would have never thought I would still be writing about these characters so many years later.

I had thoughts of Mallory at least already knowing about his activities but never in my wildest thoughts did I think of her out there in those streets. These last two chapters seemed kind of tame on the action. Like in the Jacuzzi when he got fingered by his friend and the other three guys, it was over then next thing I knew some time had passed and the same thing kind of happened after being topped. A whole lot of guys were there but there was limited contact between all of them. I hate to see this one go away too

I guess the simple fact that your wife is calm and understanding would be a shock. But so would finding out she likes to be gangbanged. I think the fact that they both played will keep them together, but how you work it out I don’t know. As with all of your stories, it was fun and great! Always at the end of the book, I always feel a loneliness as I always interject myself in one of your characters. But you keep coming up with new ides and new stories that are exciting.
