I love how he’s seeing some of her authority, but also missing that her authority is greater than his in some ways and will ever continue to grow. She has already been acknowledged as Hallowed lol. And I find it hard to believe that the House of Blood will truly give up such a source of power, influence, and power in Tala even after the war is over. But maybe that’s kind of my hope because I find all the interactions interesting and would be sad for that to be cut off. Also, this series can’t ever end 😂

Is Reincarnation even a concept in this world? Everything we've seen doesn't really support a soul returning from the next world or becoming someone new before going there.

I wonder if the new holds will be subholds to Ironhold and she'll see them as 'Mine.' Ironhold is as much her identity as a jealous ravenous devourer as the iron matriarch. Her eventual sovereignty, iron matriarch, may include being the mother of reality (iron) holds.

I'm always surprised how much of the narrative revolves around food. She's like a genie: infinite power itty bitty food space. She keeps growing, moving beyond human bounds, yet still enjoying simple human necessities.
