It would be nice if he thought through things a little bit more - or was forced to - if only to give a bit of variety! This would have been a great spot to try this out. Especially given the stakes are huge and is a complicated puzzle.

They haven't. Which is why I really don't like them and I've been happy they have been less frequent. His optimistic plans always fail spectacularly, he never learns from it, and they make him look like an idiot.

Honestly the whole imaginary scenes feel a bit silly. I dont think any of the actuals ever really panned out
