So... about Patreon
🕑 Added 2024-03-17 15:08:28 +0000 UTCWord has been getting around that Patreon is including some new stuff in to the list of (a lot of) things that gets you banned. While things like that are generally stuff I don't draw, my stuff threads a bit waaaay too close to the line of really dodgy and vague guidelines Patreon have established.
Unfortunately it probably means I'll have to stop using Patreon at least as an image hosting website. I've heavily considered switching to Discord as a way to share patron stuff, as some of yall have been asking for a community server as well. There's also the option of switching to Subcribestar, but I'd like to hear more about what everyone thinks.
What would yall prefer moving forward? Feel free to suggest any other alternatives in the comments as well! (I'm also not entirely sure if posting stuff in Discord goes against Patreon's guidelines as well so if anyone has any knowledge please do lmk!)

In honesty, I probably wouldn't follow you to subscribestar if you moved there? I adore your art and it does many things to me, but i really hate registering my payment info with new sites n junk. So i think discord would be best!

Discord is likely a good call for now at least. The way things are going, it's posssible you'll wind up having to eventually move to SubscribeStar anyways, though it could be a while before you gotta worry about it.

I'd recommend both tbh Discord has been amazing for keeping up to date, connected and in touch with my own patrons and is a great way to ping everyone if shit hits the fan or anything! And having substar as a backup is a safe thing to do as well, I think (and hope for my own sake too) that your stuff will be fine. But even if you're not posting it on patreon, I've seen people get their pages banned because of art they posted *only* on twitter/pixiv for violating tos. So patreon enforces their rules even off-site... Def keep the patreon page up but I think it's only a matter of time before we get clapped, I know I'll be making the slow transition to substar too

Move to discord on the short term and start the subscribestar process as they take their sweet ass time, and it's the best option for the future.
