[Blog] Holiday Catchup + Updates

First off, sorry for the lack of updates over the last month. I ended up catching the flu in early December, which later turned into an infection that took a bit longer than expected to clear out. By the time I was finally feeling better, Christmas was right around the corner, so I decided to take it easy for the rest of the holidays and wait until the new year to get things moving again.

Did a little teaser shot of Mythra (and Pyra — it’s in the WIP MEGA folder) as a way of getting back into animating and testing out some stuff I wanted to see if I could use in the future. It turned out decent and didn’t take too long, but I’m not sure if it’s something I’ll do often for now.
For the next group animation, I’ve got about 2–3 more scenes left before I can call it complete. I feel like I said that during the last post in late November, so sorry for the lack of progress — getting sick really messed with my momentum.
I’d like to have it released sometime in January; however, knowing how long it usually takes for VAs (and having three this time around), I suspect it will come out in February instead.
These group animations always take a lot out of me, and I usually feel pretty burnt out after finishing one, so after this group animation I’ll probably be doing some normal solo animations for a bit. I know the next one lined up is Haze & Lora as a group, but I think I’m going to wait on that until I’m feeling up for it. The initial plan was to do Xenoblade 1 girls as solo animations, but since I only plan on doing Fiora, Sharla, and Melia, I’m thinking I might just do one larger animation featuring all three of them with both solo and group scenes instead, since it would only have 1–2 group scenes — but who knows.
At some point this year, I want to do more series outside of Xenoblade. Not sure when it’ll be (maybe as soon as the next animation release), but I plan on doing polls for solo character animations outside of the Xenoblade series. I’m mainly looking for character suggestions to use for the poll. I won’t be taking obscure characters for now — just decently popular ones.
As soon as I have enough suggestions, I’ll post the poll for you all to decide.
