Progress Update | 06/09/2021

Another week, another month, another progress update!
As some of you may have noticed, Beta 5 released on the weekend which means the next release will be pre release. I'll have more info on that sometime this week, like usual, so stay tuned for that post. After that it goes straight into release!
Now I've been thinking a lot about 0.21 and where I want to go after that. I think My New Family is reaching a good point for the timeskip now and to slowly wrap things up. Like I said a few times now, I plan on doing a timeskip to show the advanced pregnancy of the girls and then another big timeskip for My New Family 2. Now I'm not saying that the game will end soon, I don't want to rush things and I can promise you this won't happen. But maybe one more regular update and then the update with the pregnancy progress showing, something like that. I just don't want the game to become too boring or repetitive and I have to admit, writing has become more and more difficult over time ( because of the amount of content that is already in the game ). More on that will probably follow once I have the plans more fleshed out.
Now compared to last week I was also pretty productive for My New Memories. I made a few renders and also wrote a bit once I was done with the My New Family beta. Progress looks pretty good there and I think after 0.21 drops I will shift my work to My New Memories until the update is complete. I will still make that patreon post but from what I gathered so far, you guys would prefer it like that as well. The render you see in todays news is a little flashback MC gets while Lina visits him. Lina is Sarah's sister, for those that forgot, and we didn't see her ingame yet. That will change with the update, of course I'm hopeful that I will finish the second day this month which means another beta for patrons etc!
Now I want to talk about the poll I will hold next week and what that means in general. My plan is to finish a My New Family update ( so 0.21 in this case ) and then switch over to My New Memories and work on that until that update is completed. After that I would work on 0.22 for My New Family etc. It would probably be the best for my mental health to do it like that, since working on both games at the same time is starting to become more taxing than I thought. You can tell me your thoughts in the comments if you want.
And I think that's it for this week. I want to thank each and everyone of you amazing people for the extremely wholesome comments I got under my two year anniversary post. It means the world to me to know that I have so many wonderful people in this community that support me. So thank you for that, again.

you're free to be as unhappy as you want, but don't speak for anyone but yourself. You have no idea what lots of people will want and trying to wield your fellow patrons against killer to get your way is a pretty uncool thing to do. Speak your mind if you must but leave the rest of us out of it.

So far it doesnt look like lots of people will be unhappy... And MNF updates were 6-8 weeks apart since 0.14 released, so way before MNM was even out :D.

With the new project, MNF updates are 6-8 weeks apart. With alternating it'll be 12-16 weeks. I'll wait and see how things go but if that's the case I think lots of people, including myself will be unhappy.

I think a time skip would be a good idea. I would love to see a few updates that were focused on the mid pregnancy then end of pregnancy / birth.

Alternating sounds like a good idea to me. If an idea pops into your head about the game you're not working on, you can just write it down for later reference so it doesn't slip away. That way you can clear it from your mind and focus.

I hope that Sun's sister gets at least a bit of screentime. We've been told a very long time ago she really likes the MC, but nothing ever really happened between the two after that. Aside from that, i'm 100% fine with switching between the two after an update came out for one or the other!

I made sure I am good for both games by upgrading to all in, and I can only imagine the work you've been putting in. This way may also help with the writing for MNF, because you can step away from it for a few weeks longer and come back with fresh eyes. I have loved your work since the day I found it, and glad to be a supporter. looking forward to both games going forward. Also, I know the time skip is coming, but hopefully we get a nice big ginger wedding first lol
I'm looking forward to both Games and I like the change so I am fine with both titles. I love the complexer nature of mnm and the lightwigh style of mnf. Just do what you do. I am sure it will be awesome.

We might be ready for a timeskip on MNF now, but before you do that, make sure we progress in other relationships (Kiara, Tanja, Sun, Melissa, etc) to the point where their status can be "locked down" for the timeskipped period. Basically, establish properly what will happen to everyone (unseen) during the timeskipped period.

You are only going to hear from the most vocal supporters, or those with a strong opinion. I will not speak out on what I want. Your writing is why you have so many fans. Please do what YOU want, or NEED to do, to keep both games a fun but challenging experience for you. Nobody wants you burnt out. NOBODY. I will support you on whichever way you approach both amazing AVNs.

MNM has a much more engaging story though. MNF is great but its just a giant family f fest with no consequences for the MC. Pick the top option and keep on going lol. I still like it but MNM has mystery to it.

Just that My New Memories is not a sidegame but a full new game by me. Working ONLY on My New Family would mean I would burn out faster, probably, since it is becoming very difficult to write stuff for My New Family lately.
I would rather you concentrate solely on my new family until it's done and not do anything with my new memories. MNF is the game I like and don't want delays to work on a side game.
