You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
When you roll a 20 to hit with this sword, the target must make a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or be affected by the hideous laughter spell. The spell does not require concentration or material components when cast from the sword. Additionally, whenever you kill a creature with this shortsword, its corpse writhes and convulses in a fit of laughter before falling still.
This sword once belonged to a failed comedian who, in their despair, poured all of their angst into their weapon. Now all those who jeer and boo will finally get the joke, and you will have the last laugh.
