Episodes or Visual Novels with short Loops?

I reflected a lot about the last years. One of the things I was wondering: Should I continue making Episodes or rather make Visual Novels + short loops like other artists do?
I have seen a lot of really outstanding work recently on Twitter from other 3dx artists and they seem to be very successful. This makes sense, because they produce much shorter, less complex animations but therefore the quality is really impressive.
So I was wondering: Should I also do that?
I still want to create games because I love games. But creating the Episodes takes a lot of time, energy, and money and are quickly pirated (which is not so bad for short loops where I did not invest months of work). Also the turnaround for new products is rather long so you guys have to wait longer. I am really wondering if I should rather make Visual Novels (to proceed with the story) + Shorter Loops with improved Quality. And since a lot of you are interested in the Sensual Adventures Story, Visual Novels might be the better take on that. Because with those I can deliver much more story than in the Episodes.
I could then also easier explore other things, like rendering regular movies as well as VR-Versions. And I could also do commission work again. Ideally also go through the many tutorials that are stacked up on my "Learn new things/improve things To-Do List". Right now I simply don´t have the time to do any of that.
I definitely need to change things, because the number of Patreons is declining, I am burning myself out and overall it´s not a very sustainable situation right now. I do need to think of the financial part of course as well, since I have to feed a family and have high debts from renovating the house (which needed to be done...).
I think I will also have more time to engage with you guys since I would not be that overwhelmed with work. This is the case with the Episodes because the whole production is complex, I am dependent on other people (Voice-Overs, Music, etc.) which also does not make it a smooth experience for me.

EDIT: Since many people asked for a reference of a Visual Novel => That is a very good idea and I will definitely make one (after EP9 and PoseViewer Updates) for you to see what it could be like. Right now it´s not tangible enough, which makes sense. So yeah, we need an example to get an Idea of it. Also for me it would be good as proof of concept🙃

Saw this post on one of those mirroring sites and decided to become a Patron. Good luck with your workflow! You're one of the best. (We recently had to tear down and replace all of our gutters so I can empathize with renovation costs.)

The loops for the VNs are definitely going to be 3-5 minutes each for sure. And there will definitely be more than 1 loop. I do need to make a proof of concept for you guys. But I think the current consens is: I keep doing episodes, but it will take longer. At the same time I will create content that is less work and can be released in more frequent and shorter periods of time.

I feel like since you're doing more, it might help if you shortened the length of episodes. I'm not a fan of short loops myself and I became a fan because you were one of the few who made longer videos but I understand that time is needed and that it's a finite resource. Some of the other creators I'm a fan of have videos around 5-12 minutes and I think their work is amazing. A video that starts with a Visual novel for the story followed by 5-ish minutes of jumping on the bed might be a good start to both please the fans and let you have the time to do the other things you want to do/get into. I'm just one guy tho and i would be saddened to lose the quality of work you do if you burn yourself out or it becomes unsustainable.

I would like to vote both, I love your episodes and games and I would like to see how well you could make a visual novel as I do enjoy sitting down with one of them for a few hours here and there when taking a break for bigger games.

Smart decision to do what keeps the most money coming in. As a fan I enjoy your full length movies but I also don't think they need to be as long. I'd be happier with shorter clips done more often and a full length feature whenever as a special release. Hope this helps:)

Ultimately you should do what you feel is best for you energy and health wise when it comes to your work, your videos have always been worth the wait and the short loops are great too so it would be a win either way if you ask me me. With short loops you could definitely take some strain off your back
