New Video! America: Still Racist
🕑 Added 2018-02-28 21:52:01 +0000 UTC This video is partially an adaptation of an old video of mine called "Baltimore: Anatomy of an Uprising." I think that video contained some of the best and most important arguments I've ever presented on this channel, but it's my least viewed video, so I've been wanting to try my hand at it again for a while now.The middle section of this video is largely recycled from that video, but this isn't just a remake. I've added a very different introduction/framing, and a whole new section on mass incarceration.
I tried out some new stylistic things this time too, taking inspiration from the slick over-edited vlogs kids make these days.
I stayed up all night editing to get this out on time, so I'm going to go take a power nap and then see you all in a couple hours for the AMA stream!

It would be nice for anyone announcing that racism is over to consider the human lifespan. The ~*non oppressed kids these days*~ are seeing some shit while having parents and grandparents who saw some shit. I guess anyone with an opinion should just have values that exist in a vacuum. You've absolutely hit the nail on the head that racism-dismissers want to feel comfortable even to the detriment of ~*non oppressed*~ protestors. If someone sees a hashtag and doesn't hear a chant, they may not get the emphasis. It's not "BLACK lives matter" it's "black lives MATTER."
