Hey Natalie. I've chosen a career path that requires a large amount of involvement with police agencies, and I find it likely that at some point I'll have the opportunity to work for them. I personally have a large amount of conflict with my views on what I think police *should* be in place for vs what they actually end up doing and representing. I also completely understand the struggles of minorities that have been systemically oppressed by the police (myself recently joining one minority group, recently hatched egg). tldr; How would you personally reconcile that kind of cognitive dissonance? Would you go with an avoidance - not accepting those kinds of opportunities should they arise, or go with subtle protest - take advantage of those opportunities but make some noise?

I've been working on video essays and analyses about various topics, both cultural and political, trying to take a different take on a lot of things. I do have a lot of doubts about my own quality of work, especially after working really hard and seeing radio silent reception.
