"November" Discord Hangout This Sunday
🕑 Added 2017-12-01 07:55:51 +0000 UTC Dear 15+ Folks,I'm planning on doing the next Discord hangout this Sunday at 7pm ET. I have just created a new server, which will eventually become the Contra Patron Server once I get it organized. For now it's only the skeleton of a server. But it should work well enough for the hangout (in fact it should be easier to figure out than that old labyrinth of a server.)
I've created a bot which has hopefully added all 15+ people into the new server. If you need to connect your Patreon account to a Discord account (or if you're straight-up wondering what Discord is), this article explains it: https://patreon.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/212052266
Hopefully that gets you into the server, if not God help us. Shoot me a message on Patreon and I'll help you figure it out. :)

So hi I'm the one that helps with the chats when I can. Here are a couple rules in no real order that have helped in the past. - Use push to talk. It's just common courtesy if you're in a call with more than 5 people. We usually get 15-20 and 10 of those people are talking actively. - TRY to not talk over people. Stop and let them go if they haven't finished. - Use headphones! Even with push to talk, it results in a lot of echoing nobody wants to hear. - Just relax and enjoy the conversation.

Excuse me for asking here but HOW does one participate? I've never done anything similar and I can't help imagining a bunch of people talking over each other making a lawless mess. I don't want to just go and throw a message mindlessly, are there any rules? Sorry again lol and thank you for all
The fan server is the best kind of fan (when it isn't hit by shit) :-P. In all I think this is a really good development and I think it will be really good for the culture of the fan server too :-) Now I just need to figure out how I will manage to actually participate in the hangout 😣
