Bakugou knows catching feelings for kiri is dangerous so he sends kiri on a treacherous quest, not really expecting his return. But he promised himself if kiri proved himself strong enough to complete the quest and come back, then Bakugou would give into his desire because clearly kiri is a strong warrior who is deserving of Bakugou’s love. When kiri returns it takes all of Bakugou’s energy to not jump him in the thrown room with everyone still there, he either orders everyone out or yanks kiri into his chambers. OR since kiri is probably filthy they take a bath together and sexy times ensue 😉

and bakugo interrupting kiri’s stories halfway to exclaim “i would never have done that” only for kiri to look at him expectantly and he quietens down quickly, waiting for kiri to continue

kind of reminds me of the story of Scheherazade - the storyteller of “A Thousand and One Nights” - where the sultan takes a new bride everyday and executes her the next morning because one of his wives cheated on him before. Scheherazade marries the Sultan in order to save all of the future young women from suffering the same fate. On the night they‘re married, Scheherazade tells the Sultan a fantastical story and leaves him on a cliff hanger so the Sultan doesn’t bear to kill her the next morning because he wants to know the ending of the story. Every night, she weaves mystifying and vivid stories that keep the Sultan hooked until finally after the 1001th night, she runs out of stories and braces herself to be executed in the morning. But she didn’t realise that the Sultan had fallen deeply in love with her and her stories so he spares her and she becomes his one and only wife ^^ kinda like the idea of kiri weaving stories to keep the fickle tempered king bakugo entertained
