Hidden Blade Prototype - V6 Update
🕑 Added 2023-12-03 15:11:53 +0000 UTCHey makers! Now that I've finalized and posted my V4 Arc Reactor on Etsy, I'm back to spending personal engineering time towards the blade. I'm looking into designs that would allow fully tensioned ejections (they would continue their ejection if stopped half-way for example).
I'm rebuilding the unibody in Blender as this is shaping up to be an asymmetrical design unlike my previous models.

Yes! Go ahead and tinker around I share this to help others as we all try and make awesome gear :) I’d just ask that you credit the source model if you make a YouTube video or similar. I have gotten a couple full hidden blades working using your files, some time, and a bunch of trial and error, especially when it come to running the cable. I think my next hidden blade project might be the phantom blade. would you be cool with it if I were to try and modify/add an attachment to your design that could facilitate this?

Don’t mind at all! I share these because I want to encourage others to create new builds! I mainly want to avoid someone downloading these and then selling them on Etsy type deal :p but your project sounds great dude!

Thing the second: I'm an apprentice bladesmith. I hope you don't mind if I machine & forge these components next time I build or get work at a blade forge.

Thing the first: the new mechanism is so light & thin I'm going to look at ways of kicking it forward on rails, nothing as complex as you've devised but halfway between a lever & the 2 tier slides people designed before.
