The Facility (Chapter 10)

Finally, you made your choice. The surveillance camera made you pretty uneasy, as if somebody was watching you, and you weren’t sure what to make of the small grey toy. So you figured your best bet would be the shiny gear. You flipped the device in your hands a few times, wondering what robotical device it must have been a part of.
“Okay,” You spoke softly, knowing that one way or another ‘The Creator’ was probably still watching you. “I’ve made my choice.” You held the gear up for any hidden camera to see. “I’m gonna go with this silver gear.” The gear shines off of the neutral overhead lighting in the silver hallway.
Nothing happens for a few moments until you hear the now familiar noise of gears and cogs turning. You look down to see the table, along with the other two items that you didn’t choose, disappear into the floor.
You can hear ‘The Creator’s echoing voice chuckling over the hidden speakers. “Ah, I also love the Crossroads choices.” The Creator says, still laughing a little. “I think you’ll have some fun with this one. Let’s see how tough you are.”
The sound of more cogs and gears turning is heard before the entire hallway begins to reconfigure itself. Panels in the walls open and close and move themselves, extending the hallway past the point where it previously ended. When it’s finished a long stretch of new hallway has appeared from where the silver panels previously had it hidden. At the end of the hallway was a large mechanical door.
“Proceed Challenger.” The Creator’s voice boomed like always. “Prepare yourself for your 2nd Guardian.”
You took a deep breath, and let it out, before starting to walk forward. Your stupid outfit made you immediately feel less confident, and you wished you had your neutral grey outfit that you had started in. Especially the diaper hidden under your overalls that made your butt sway and waddle with every step you took.
You reached the mechanical door and was able to get a better look at it. First of all, the door was huge! Someone who was nine feet tall wouldn’t even have to duck inside of it. The door was a dark, almost black metal and was bordered by cogs and gears that were slowly turning. The center of the door had two things on it: a circular metal handle that turns like hatches you’d find in a submarine, and in big red capital letters the word: SONAD glowed bright red with neon lights. The door looked like something out of a steampunk graphic novel.
“SONAD?” You said aloud. What could that stand for?
You reach forward and place both hands on the circular handle and try to turn it. It’s heavy! Extremely heavy! It seems to be almost rusted shut. You wondered how long it had been since someone tried to open this door. You notch your foot against one side of the door (Something made much more difficult because your diaper makes it nearly impossible to spread your legs.) and pull on the thing with all your might. It takes a couple seconds, and an insane amount of tugging, but finally the handle loosens and starts to turn.
You take exhausted breaths as you slowly but surely turn the handle the rest of the way and then pull. The giant metal door swings open with a loud groan and squeal of old metal. Peering inside the room you see that the room looks somewhat similar to the door itself. It’s made of sleek cool metal and there seems to be many parts to the ceiling and walls that are made of cogs and gears. A steampunk artist must have created this whole room!
Compared to Dollmaker’s “nursery” this place is huge. It looks like one giant factory with at least 2 floors to it. You climb over a big step to get inside the giant door and find yourself inside. You take a few steps forward before a loud groan and squeal makes you almost scream in surprise. A BOOM, makes you turn around and sigh a little in relief. The huge sound was just the door closing behind you. Even though you know that simply means that you are now trapped inside with whatever Guardian awaits you.
This place is filled with some sort of strange fumes. For a moment your vision feels slightly blurred and a headache forces you to hold your head for a moment and close your eyes. “Ohhhh... what’s going on?” You mumble, trying to recover. A couple moment later, you feel the strange blurriness in your mind fade away, but it makes you uneasy.
Choosing to investigate, you walk further inside of the factory, not seeing much of anything at first. Or anyone. You hear a loud noise coming from further inside and go to investigate. When you round the corner, you saw a whole huge room filled with production lines.
“What the fuck...” You mumble out. The real kicker is what you saw the production line making: Baby Products.
Highchairs, strollers, baby bouncers, cribs, playsets, play-mats; baby stuff of all different kinds! The one big thing you noticed though... all of the baby stuff was adult sized!
They were all made for babies for this facility! Maybe this was where all the baby stuff found in the Facility itself was made! Unless they were hoping to expand to outside of The Facility one day! What could that mean for the rest of the world??
“Oh there you are...” You heard a strange voice say. The voice was very echo-y. It sounded like two people talking at once. A man and a woman. But even besides that, something about their voices sounded... off.
You turned around and you figured out why it sounded so weird. Standing in front of you was a large actual full on robot! Standing on one rotating wheel and having a full large body made of metal, the automaton had four long skinny arms that were expanding and retracting from its body in a way that looked like Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man lore. On top of its large mechanical body were two globe like heads with screens on them projecting images of faces made out of data. One of the faces had a mustache and glasses while the other had lipstick and a bow. On the robot’s chest in big red letters was the same word you had seen before: SONAD.
“Hello there little one.” The robot’s two heads, male and female, speak in unison.

Thanks for your feedback Trent! And no worries! I can't say for sure, since I'm not the one in charge of scheduling, but I'm sure more of this story will be posted before very long. The next several chapters are already written. This chapter, which just happens to be the case for some of them when our chapters are only a certain length, was a bit more just set-up for what's to come.
I really like this story but like we haven’t seen an update from this story in so long and this chapter feels really underwhelming
