I have to say, I've never heard any other reactors bring up Xander's Hyena possession before when criticising his attitude towards the Angel vs Angelus issue. It's a great point! Xander should know better than anyone what it's like to have your body overtaken by something evil, and being made to do evil things (such as attempt to rape your best friend...which is something Xander didn't even want to acknowledge, let alone apologise for). His jealousy/obsession with Buffy clouds his judgement and makes him act like such an arse.

The monologuing in this episode is all credited to Whistler on the IMDB page, but the beginning of the episode I think is Angel while the end of the episode it's Whistler. You had great insights as usual. I agree that Xander had a point about restoring Angel. He presented it in a harsh way, and we do know he is biased when it comes to Angel, but I like that this show puts us, the viewers, in that situation to actually think about actions and consequences rather than just burying our heads in the sand.
