I had never heard that Michael Hurst based Charon on Jimmy Durante before, but now that I have, I can hear that very clearly, and in fact keep hearing Charon say “inka-dinka-doo.” 😆

I had a feeling you'd be made up to see Marcus again :-) and also get your much wished for trio- even if only briefly. That's actually Michael Hurst who plays Iolaus in Hercules under that makeup as Charon the Ferryman. He has often said he based his portrayal of Charon and speech pattern after the famous actor/singer Jimmy Durante. He's definitely a fun character.
