Not sure if you missed it or not but Faith explained to Willow that someone tried to kill her in prison with a βnasty looking knifeβ (it was a Bringers knife). So, in case you didnβt realize before, that prison scene in Angel was about the First trying to kill Faith.

There was a version of this script where Xander died right there. The whole episode still builds to it. Writers talked Joss out of it.

Season 8 is worth consuming, even though it is nOt WiThOuT cOnTroVeRsY, but the decline in quality from 9 to the end was... precipitous. Content is content but I'm not sure I could sincerely tell anyone they'd be better off as Buffy fans for having read them

Yes, the comics contain massive spoilers for Angel season 5. Don't start on them till after you've finished Angel. As evil as Caleb is, he is an enjoyable villain. His dialogues with The First and persona as a preacher is very disturbing because how he draws from biblical references to support his views on women is entirely believable to real life.

Regarding the Season 8 comics, Iβm not sure if it properly aligns with Season 5 of Angel. I donβt know if the comics spoil anything from that season. If I recall correctly, Season 8 takes place AFTER Angel Season 5. Just an FYI. As far as making an eye pun, I would try to make one, but all my jokes are way too cornea.

I remember them showing ads for firefly while this season of Buffy was airing.Ive always been under the assumption that this was pre firefly so thanks for the info.

When you watched Scream last week the opening reminded me of the opening of this episode. Caleb is extremely creepy in both word and deed. Fillion is a great actor.

IIRC this was around the time Firefly was cancelled so they brought Gina and Nathan over to the Buffyverse.
