I love little shop of horrors. As a fan of the stage version I am sad by some of the songs they cut, but I understand it. There are a few differences between the musical and the movie. The deaths were a bit different(he straight up tricks mushnik in the stage version into going to the plant so that he gets eaten). There is a song after Mushnik's final scene called the Meek shall inherit(you hear a bit of it in the movie), where he details his struggles and explains that he doesn't want to keep doing this, but he wants to do it for Audrey. It's a good song. I can understand how it might not be necessary, but it's a nice way of showing that he is really struggling with his decisions and how he knows what he is doing is wrong, but he feels like he doesn't have a choice. I get why they changed the ending. Test audiences hated it. From an objective standpoint. I can understand how the stage ending is better. But from an emotional standpoint, I like a happy ending. :D

Enjoyed this SO MUCH. I love this musical. The original stage ending had Audrey dying in his arms at the end. Is it bad that I kind of preferred that ending- it’s so sad!!!
