I enjoy this episode, but I think Isaac and Tamra might be my least favourite hunters ever. They're both completely incompetent, and I HATE that Isaac is blaming the boys for letting the demons out of the devil's gate. That is absolutely NOT how that played out. JAKE opened the devil's gate (he would have done that no matter what) and it was only because the boys and Bobby and Ellen figured out what was happening and then went there, that the gate got closed. If not for them, the gate might still be open! Not to mention that they then also took out a MAJOR demon. So, f*ck you, Isaac. Lol! Don't you come for my boys! Also, RIP, I guess. 😜 It's so funny, cause every reactor I watch is so excited to see Katie Cassidy! I'd never heard of her before this, so I can't relate. Lol! But she seems to be a favourite. Dean's acceptance is understandable, but heartbreaking! Sam's pain and guilt is also understandable, but he needs to know Dean did it because the idea of going to hell is less horrifying to him that the thought that his little brother is no longer in the world. In a lot of respects, Sam is very much a surrogate son to Dean, so there's no way he could just let him die. It's an awful situation all around.

I think it's not so much about protecting Sam. Sam was dead and was un-protected, as such -- he was meant to be in peace, but Dean was not comfortable with that. Sam is the one taking the real beating currently, and I do feel for Dean as well... but he really just kinda transferred his agony to someone else.
