Time to Evolve
🕑 Added 2024-06-13 15:48:57 +0000 UTCGood evening everyone, the time has come to address a very important topic, something that will transform everything from game development, to various pages, management and more.
It is useless to hide how lately there has been a general decadence for CoR, whether it was caused by my fault or secondary reasons, so it is time to give a strong shake, a strong message of change.
Most likely the detractors would rub their hands together to know that the game has failed or that "we'd better shut down development and release the characters to do something better," as it is also true that they complain about how I do the posts, where I basically according to them I just complain.
Very well, it's time to turn the tables.
Development
The first strong change, I will no longer be the main dev, but just the artist of this new group.
What do I mean by group? Very simple, given now the large amount of content that will need to be churned out from now on, extra hands will be needed to increase the amount of work.
For this I would like to thank Kielzi, RedBunny and Tirix, who respectively will take care of the code, dialogue correction and social managing.
We're still deciding on a new name to show in the new pages, be it Project Will, Will Studios or the Wholesome Lewdists, though I wouldn't want to take the latter to steal someone's title."
We have yet to see if it will be possible to change names and everything everywhere or if we will have to create new social pages from scratch.
I will remain in charge of the discord server along with my friends Darth and project, who have been helping me run the server as best they can all this time.
Is all this change happening just to increase the workforce? Not exactly.
Only very few people know about what I am going to say, but a while ago I was hacked, losing access to my email and some social, money was taken from me, and I would rather not think about possible stealthy doxxing since my email has my documents and data in it.
Because of this and from the continuous and persistent hater attack on everything I do, I will stay off everything except the Discord server for quite a while for a nice mental detox.
All this does not mean that the game will change direction or anything else, you will see later on all the improvements that will be applied because of all this
To give an even stronger signal, from now on the game will go under the codename "Project Regna/CoR," still in decision, to accentuate all the changes you will see in a moment, what we want is total improvement and make it clear that every single element of the project can be twisted at any time since everything is in the course of development.
Goals
Goals for me were always a way to indicate what was being worked, what to expect in the future on or the pogress reached, they were to give a focus. Instead they are now seen as a limiter, something that prevents new content and, in the words of some detractors, "zim only thinks about money and doesn't work if he doesn't achieve his stupid goals."
Very well, from now on goals will be abolished, they will no longer cause any content to be locked, and therefore everything in game will have to evolve accordingly.
Therefore, the upcoming builds on the girls' side will focus on bringing certain characters left behind to "new levels."
In-game changes
Now let's start a list of changes coming in the game:
Code
At the code level, many things will be changed to make the game smoother and to be made more manageable.
It may happen that because of the changes, saves will no longer work, don't worry, the save directories will remain unchanged to avoid causing further problems, but a new accessibility feature is coming to avoid future mishaps and to help all those people who lose their saves or due to other reasons can't continue or don't feel like going back to where they were left:
Graphics and text to be finalized, this is just the example.
In this way we should reduce the number of players who drop out of the game.
In addition, many "demo" or remaining incomplete contents will be removed and cleaned from the game, while others such as gifts properly inserted and finalized.
UI
Minor changes will also be applied UI of the game, as you can see the top left hand lettering has been replaced by that indicator, along with the new skip time and home buttons.
Map navigation is still in decision, personally I think on the right as in origin is perfect .
Quick hints will go on a drop-down menu, which will appear whenever you go over it with the mouse, or simply a drop button to call them.
There would be graphic changes on the girls' cards as well, but we will talk about that in the near future. Also, the stats menu and inventory menu could be merged to create a single character menu.
Regarding the navigation of the mansion, we are seeing what can be improved, most likely the first step is to improve how the core room works.
Stats
The stats will finally be applied in game, some moments in the game will require you to upgrade them to continue.
Mastery, which is useless and never used, will be removed, while powers will change zone and use, making you use them in the open world.
A very simple example, when you go to look for Etheria, and this time there will be more in game with new types, you will use your vision to scout and collect it.
Story
There are some moments in the story, both main and girls', that will be refinished to avoid lengthening events that are not needed or cases where several quests happen in the same place and you have to return several times to continue the plot, such as the case of Emiko's story quests in dusk, probably those will be unified.
Dialogues
We know that the dialogues now are free of major errors and fluent, but in some cases they seem too formal or big words are used unnecessarily.
You will be pleased to know that they will be fixed to be more in keeping with the atmosphere of the in-game events.
Lewds
The lewds will undergo major changes.
First of all they will be made less and less of loops, is more of full animations, as early players could see from Cleos' new lewd.
As for lewds with girls, they will be merged all together in a new interactive mode where you can choose what action to perform during the act, as you can see on the Asmedia image. It will be a new updated version of the interactives you can already try with Cleos, applied to all of them.
Printable Figure
We were thinking that it would be possible to release 3D printable models for 3D print owners to make their own figures, let's see if it will be possible
The -verse
What do we mean by The -verse? Very simply, in order to increase the spread of the game, mini-stories will be released slowly that will serve mainly as publicity for the basic project, also because there are certain sites that cannot publish because of the enormous size of the game or very simply because they only have limited Web versions.
Future
There are many more improvements and new stuff planned, all of which will have to be applied in the coming months without slowing down the release of the various events in any way.

Never had a real complaint about the game, I love it. I cannot wait to see the revamp, redo, remake. Can I put in a request that maybe there could be a slight chance to save emiko? I will jump through hoops and make deals with nyx and anyone else just to keep her from from her fate. I am a 60 yr old man, and I have sh3d tears every time I have had to replay scene.

I would ask the same on why people complain, but maybe its because I'm too patient for things like this and know; to make a good product it takes time. Trust ya in whatever direction to want to take this in! Bring on the bright future for CoR!

Zimon, your project has been awesome, I was always worried mostly for you in that I had some sense of the sheer amount of work you would need to execute an ambitious project like this. I'm glad you're getting a team to support you and can't wait for what's coming.

I really like your game, I don't understand people who complain, even though developing a game is long and complicated, especially when you have to create such an interesting story and universe, don't listen to this kind of hater, it won't help you I will say that evil exists only to annoy people. I can't wait to see the rest of the game ^^ good luck for the days to come (if you find that I wrote badly it's just that I'm bad at English being French and I use a written translator)

No changes in the story will happen, it will remain the same as it has already been set, only those parts of the gameplay that are set up badly will be fixed, such as precisely going 4 times back and forth between bedroom and dusk, and similar situations.

I just would like to say, I love every minute of your project zimon. The universe and story have a lot of unique elements and I'd hate to see it completely scrapped and redone. I dunno who all is complaining, but I think you've done a marvellous job. I can't wait to see what the future holds.
