Something funny to think about, if they succeeded in killing Klaus last episode, there'd be no cure and Damon would be dead. I wonder what Klaus' fascination with Stefan being the ripper is about? Alaric and Damon, the best friends, the ultimate duo of the Vampire Diaries and drinking buddies.

"Ghosts of girlfriends past," LOL, I like that! I know this is something that is easily lost because there was so much happening in this episode, and it's something I only noticed now (my 3rd time watching). Katherine walking into the house to save Damon confirmed that Elena's death removed the protection the house had where vampires couldn't enter a home owned by a living person. Her death severed that connection, even though she returned to life, much like Buffy's approximately 2-minute death triggered the awakening of a second Slayer.
