I don't think it's been a choice for Elena in a long time. The sire bond was never a factor. It always seemed to me that she's been in love with Damon since early S3 (to be generous to Stefan, otherwise I'd say earlier). She's just a good person who stayed longer with Stefan out of loyalty, guilt, and a safe kind of love. Outside of that epic declaration of love from Elena... my favorite happy moments were Rebekah & Matt, and Klaus showing up for Caroline. Using the kiss to distract from Rebekah switching places with Matt was such a great moment.

One of my favs for sure. What a finale! Damon- Elena and klaus- Caroline moments were so cute. Sad to see ric and Lexi go breaks my heart but see Bonnie go- no way I don't accept it. She always sacrifices herself for others and still she wants her best friends to be happy not telling them that she died, she literally got Jeremy back to life she died for him, to get Elena her bro back I can't express in words how much I respect and adore Bonnie she's my fav there's no1 like her 😭

If you think about what Silas said about do you know what it's like to starve for 2000 years and now finding out Stefan is his doppelganger it explains why Stefan craves blood so much
