I don't blame Mitch. I thought Jay was going to create an awkward atmosphere, not that he's unsupportive as we have seen he is loving. He has choice words. So I imagined he would ruin a good time, when in fact, he was the good time. I really need more of Jay and the Gays <3

That Ed O'Neil never won an Emmy (individually) for his role as Jay still makes me salty to this day.

This is one of my favorite episodes of the entire series. All the stories tie together with a great message, as you said (BTW I'm sure Jay's story about crab cakes is true -- Gloria confirmed it, plus crab cakes are awesome). But more than that, Jay with the guys at the bar was just a beautiful sequence. I think most viewers cringe in advance (on first viewing) and then are delightfully surprised that Jay is so at ease. And I quite identified with Mitch thinking it over and realizing that he may have been unnecessarily guarded with his father.
