I love when Marie laughs after Dean catches her up after season 5, and she calls it the worst fan fic. On the surface, it’s just a funny knock on the writers. But i also think that they were paying respect to Kripke too. They really are fans who get to play in Kripke’s sandbox.

I love this episode. So great. The girls are fantastic. The only question I ever had, was how the readers of the "books" know about Carry on Wayward Son. Like, is it mentioned in each book that they're listening to that song or something? I mean as a viewer of the show we know the significance, but I'd love to know how Chuck explained it in the books 😆

The blonde girl starting off the Carry On, Wayward Son cover really is a phenomenal singer. I would have thought 'BM' stood for 'brotherly moment'. Great catch on the Gilmore Girls reference. I never thought of that before. I really found the terrible state of the brothers' relationship in S9 depressing, so I really appreciate how much faith they seem to have in each other, and hope for the future, at the end here. I guess Cas was wrong two seasons ago when he said that Chuck must be dead in order for Kevin to be a prophet.

I'm still impressed by how catchy and heartfelt the songs are. Not easy to pull off. The lyrics to A Single Man Tear are a toe-tapping, beautiful, emotional punch. And I really appreciate all the callbacks to the Pilot... particularly 'no chick flick moments' and 'Jerk... Bitch'. Gotta lol at Dean's reaction to that automatic reply in this context. Still meant & accepted in fondness.

Finally here! I love this episode so much... in all its wholesome meta musical glory. A Single Man Tear is brilliant... and I get goosebumps when the cast sings Carry On My Wayward Son at the end of the play. Top tier episode.
