Alpha 2.0 Release Date and Poll Regarding Releases
🕑 Added 2018-05-07 23:37:33 +0000 UTC As work continues to chug along on Alpha 2.0 we finally have a solidified release date we can announce: May 31st!The work on Alpha 2.0 has been a combination of content and building tools which allow us to craft dynamic encounters world that is a lot more open ended, that the player can explore at their leisure.
This has led us to ponder what kind of releases you, the patrons, would like to see: Releases with less content, but more polish or more content and character interactions but less polish?
An example of more polish would be the first Alpha with finished art, music, and SFX.
An example of less polish is the .gif of us doing some testing below, with some art still in sketch/placeholder form and with some missing music/SFX.
I wonder how Blue Fast is going to cheer up Anon after he had a bad day? 🤔
On a side note, we recently passed our first goal of $1000 a month! We thank each and every one of you for your continued support. <3

At this stage i agree with those who voted more content less polish. this way you don't get in a rut with your creative ideas. I've seen this happen before. plus since you are making place holder art that can be replaced later it will help newer patrons like me to decide if we plan to stay or not based on whether we like the direction. personally i enjoy this game despite not being a my little pony fan (because i never watched the current iteration despite hearing its good).

I have a question. Will this game be made public upon each update? I know Patrons would get first stab at it. But will Public releases be available after every few updates?

I would say preferably the way you are most OK with, and use decent placeholder content so it's not just sound effects and music in one part and then absolutely nothing for them in others. I mean. Most common and most re-usable things should be done first for those, I guess. Add specialized content later as the polish. For art side I don't think backgrounds are huge priority for most people unless it's important for what's happening, so that stuff can be scrubbed under polish, unless I missed you having dedicated background artist? I'm gonna leave gameplay and writing out of my opinions on this, though.
