Alpha 3.2 - Backgrounds and Shops
🕑 Added 2018-11-29 15:52:11 +0000 UTC Hello everyone!While we are in the middle of development on Alpha 4.0, we have decided to release an intermediate version. This version has no new content, but includes many new full color backgrounds!
There is also now a proper implementation of an item shop and item storage system, you can check it out by visiting the market or looking in your trash bin.
There aren't many items in game at the moment, but many more will be added in Alpha 4.0, with various different uses.
Finally many bugs have been fixes in this version, including a bug where the game would lock up if the 'Instant Complete' text option was checked. There has also been a refactor with how files are loaded and so instead of 'locking up' the game should now display a loading screen.
Thank you for your support, we can't wait to show what's in store!

Saves made before 3.1 are not compatible with version 3.2. We cannot guarantee that saves in 3.2 will be compatible with 4.0. However there is always the 'skip intro' button and you can hold 'X' to quickly skip through dialogues. There is still a good amount of work to do on version 4.0 but we are in full production mode.

Will it be necessary to restart the game for Alpha 4.0, or will we be able to continue from the last version's save? Clap-Clap, Bonus question: are you far off from releasing Alpha 4.0 or not so much? No need to estimate, just a yes or no answer will suffice for me, pretty plz.

There's a bug when you try to add something to storage. Nothing gets added and left clicks stop working until you restart the game.

Thanks for the feedback! We made that change because we received feedback that some names blended in too much with the background of the text box depending on which UI theme the player chose. We wanted the color of a character's name to still reflect that character but we also wanted the names to be as visible as possible. It was a tough decision and we are open to other solutions.

Something I noticed on this build, at least on the WebGL one, are character names now highlighted as well? In my opinion, it doesn't look to great...

Thank you for your feedback! The UI design is still mostly focused on being functional at this point, but we would like to refactor it some time in the future. If you have any specific suggestions you can let us know!
