PROGRESS REPORT
In January, with the releases of both Doublewrong and The South Bank of the Rubicon, I wrapped The Alt-Right Playbook. It was a... difficult mix of emotions. But also very cathartic. I confess my hands started trembling when I finished the graphics, which was awkward as I was working from the library. Maybe I should've anticipated Big Feelings, but they tend to catch me by surprise.
I also started the Extremely Overdetermined Adventure Game Tier List, putting out the first four videos, which y'all can watch here.
BINGO CARD
At time of publication, the 2025 Bingo Card still was not complete. Can confirm, though, that "finish main body of The Alt-Right Playbook" was one of last year's goals, which means, when the card was finished, I got to tick off one of the "do something from last year's card" boxes (the green one in the bottom right, it turned out).

It's not just about media or critical analysis. I feel like my problems are running deeper. I mean I watched your video on COD and I still found myself disagreeing. Or the one about Kenny. Or the Letterboxd reviews. I swear that I might have actually screwed myself for life with the mindset I have. And I might have set a record because I would have thought that happens when I'm older. Not in my mid 20s. But I will look into those courses if possible. I forgot that I could take a few courses separately.

you don't have to go back to school to take a single community college class, they'll set you back a couple hundred bucks and are pretty flexible with attendance. not pressuring, just saying: it's maybe a better option than hoping for a consultant.

Once I have a job again I might go back to school. Glad I live in a town with a college. I'm still shocked that I have this mindset at almost 26 years old. Like it's not easy to break. Even watching the essays and interacting with the communities is barely having an impact on this power fantasy, problematic, simplistic intelligence and mindset that I have. Like I still wonder if someone conservative can make it to leftist in their life.

look at your local community college class list and see if there's something in the vein of feminist or postcolonial media literacy classes. I got a lot out of my Film & Ideology class in college. a professor is someone used to talking to people new to this material, and trained to engage with a gentle hand.

I wish you had consulting services. I would pay anything to talk with you briefly about things related to media and politics. I know this comes off strong but it's true. I wish mentors existed for people like me who want to be better or know more. I wish there was someone like you willing to talk to me. Anyway, good luck for the future!

Sable is really really good! I love cozy exploration games, and if you like it Caravan Sandwitch has a similar vibe. I also love Prey but after 17 hours I had to admit to myself it scared me too much to keep playing π π

OMG you have "Tell Me Why" and "Oxenfree" in your game cabinet!!! I am SO EXCITED for you to play these. I suspect you will be tickled by Oxenfree. I've played it several times because it lends itself well to that and wow. Such a weird and surreal and creepy and delightful game. I adore everything from the Live is Strange folks and I am *very curious* what you will think of the "Tell Me Why" game ending choices because man...I had some FEELINGS about it.
