Weather Animations
🕑 Added 2018-01-10 20:58:33 +0000 UTC Hello. Here are some weather animations based on a patron request. These are very simple pixel effects that can be used to overlay rain or snow.
These are 4-frame animations arranged in a simple horizontal sprite-sheet. They're designed to be tiled across the screen as an overlay.
Note: RPGMaker's weather effects are scripted in the engine itself, so they don't work like regular graphics that can be imported. These won't work normally in RPGMaker -- you would need some sort of custom script in order for them to work. If you make one or know of one, let me know and I can share it. Thanks!

This one isn't an overlay effect, but can be placed on the ground to enhance the rain effects. See the preview image at the top of the post.

So I got these Weather effects working in RMMV by using events. I turned all the weather effects other than the ripples into full screen images by tiling them and then using an event to show them in sequence to effectively animate them. Hello, can someone let me know how to use them? Do I need to install the plugin for that ? I dont understand what it means: "to use as an Overlay". In what folder do these need to go? They realy look amazing and can't wait to use them in-game.
