The time has finally come to unveil the fruits of our labor as we're glad to announce that VoidBound content patch 0.5.5 is now LIVE and available for everyone to enjoy!
This patch is jam-packed with exciting additions and improvements, designed to breathe new life into your game-play experience. We've listened closely to your feedback and poured our hearts into crafting an update that, we sincerely hope, will exceed your expectations.
Here's a sneak peek at what awaits you in this offering:
0.5.5 is inherently a mixed basket of diverse ideas. It opens up with a retake on how Caly's journey initially unfolds. While the core tale itself remains true to its origins, the intro narration has been put through a major revamp. In short, the "word heavy" facets have been replaced with a more "player involved" game-play elements. Additionally, a new ending has also been added expanding the HSDF arc further. This time Caly runs afoul of the big honcho Gen and suffers the consequences for it. And finally, a much requested feature is now operational as well! Read on for more details.
New Content:
- Reworked Tank Scenario
Caly's abrupt awakening in an observation chamber after nearly dying to an unbelievable invasion forms the cornerstone of her, as well as the player's, introduction to a new alien world. As such, both the CG as well as the text work of this important scene was remade from the ground up. A complete new visual experience all around.
- FIVE new maps of the Introduction Arc
In contrast to the original, Caly's escape from the lab to Setek, is no longer instantaneous. Instead, you must now guide her to safety navigating multiple maps that also serve as introduction to the basics of RPG elements. Explore, Interact and eventually Fight your way to the safety of Haar's ship for many a foe stand between you and your freedom.
- Quest Log Tracker
One of the most requested features for our beloved game has finally arrived: a dedicated quest log system! Now you can:
- Track your active and completed quests: See all your current objectives and their progress at a glance, no more frantically scribbling notes or scouring your memory.
- Review quest details: Easily access detailed information about each quest, including objectives, rewards, and any important lore snippets.
- Stay on track: The quest log will clearly mark your progress and offer helpful hints to guide you along the way.
- Immerse yourself deeper: With the lore and backstory readily available, you'll feel even more connected to the world and its characters.
Unfortunately, the log only tracks the first intro quest for now. But, as proof of working concept we hope you are satisfied with the result and bear with us as we work diligently to program the tracking coverage of all the available quests in the near future.
- New Bad End Route [Gen's Arc]
Expanding further on the Slime Quest expansion, comes another branching route that spells the swift end to Caly's journey for going up against authority unprepared. Gen might be a diplomatic and cool-headed administrator in public, but once he has his foe on the knees, he isn't hesitant about imparting some shocking lessons in obedience.
Finally, to sum up the patch, you'll find:
- Over 100 new CGs woven around three brand new H scenes!
- New Tutorial Scripting with a brand new enemy.
- New grab and restrain pose deployed by the enemy "Bio Weapon".
- New Lore and Datapads added to the world!
- Two new trusted side kicks for Vas: Hemma and Fou
And a bunch of miscellaneous additions like:
- Updated Ray Casting on light textures.
- 60 new parallax files.
- 140 new light textures.
- Four new BGM tracks.
- Various plugin fixes.
- Bugs and Grammatical fixes.

Developer Notes & Instructions:
1) Simply download and unzip the file and double click Game.exe to play the game.
2) If you're confused about the .7z extension, simply install the freeware 7zip software, right click on the downloaded file and hit "Extract here"(If you are on Win11, click "Show more Options" first before finding the "Extract here" command)
3) Saves are backward compatible with the original Henosis Overhaul patch should you decide to import your saves. Copy the save folder from the original and paste it into this one. Continue playing as normal from where you last left off.

Though there are a fair few things for you to go through this time, we're confident that the quest log system would be our biggest highlight by far! It's designed to greatly enhance your game-play experience, making it easier than ever to embark on thrilling adventures and achieve your goals. Just wait a tiny bit more for us to make it fully tracking system to serve that purpose.

Can you enter the maze where the timer originally started or what happens after the timer runs out, does it then reset correctly that you can attempt the room again? Can you provide a save or screenshot to where it pushes you exactly? When you say, you can't actually enter it, are you referring to the room to the left inside the timer maze?

Question about the Myconoid planet. Xaide? Anyway, in the dungeon there, there is a room you need to reach for air. However, when trying to enter it from the east, I get "There has to be something in this room." I then get pushed back out of the room, back into the corridor. Repeatedly. Meaning I can't actually enter it. And the time keeps ticking down. This is something of a problem. Any tips?
