I was finally able to get back to this and I noticed s3e1 just came out so I guess I better get the rest of season 2 taken care of. I agree with you two, this was not a relaxing episode.

Even if Rachel told the feds that Petty did that to her(take her out into the woods, basically threatening her life) would they believe her? It's her word against an FBI agent's.

He's creating chaos and distrust among Wendy, Marty, Ruth, their kids, the Snells, the Cartel, they're all in disarray because of Petty's actions. His hope is that one of them will break and turn on the rest.
